The United States of American is seen as the land of opportunities. A lot of people work hard in order to achieve the American Dream. According to McHahon, author of, What is the American Dream, states that, “The term “American dream” is used in many ways, but it essentially is an idea that suggests that anyone in the U.S. can succeed through hard work and has the potential to lead a happy, successful life”. Not everyone in the world is fortunate to have the opportunities that many U.S citizens receive, thats why there is a high rise of immigrants migrating the U.S yearly. Hinojosa-Ojeda, author of Legalizing Unauthorized Immigrants says that, “Legalization of the more than 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States would raise wages, increase consumption, create jobs and generate more tax revenue”. By legalizing immigrants The United States would benefit from it because it would sure help decrease its debt with Hong Kong. In foreign countries, there is a lack of work and the jobs that exist do not offer a proper salary. And even is people have good jobs, it is difficult to move forward because the economy is not in good standards due to its corruption. Immigrants come from all over the world such as; Russia, Mexico, China, etc. and they all have one goal. They all want to live a better life. It is very sad to see families be separated only because they aren't citizens, the children are the ones who suffer the most. According to the article, Immigration, Deportation, and Family Separation, there are at least 5,100 children in foster care due to their parents being deported, and it is estimated that another 15,000 children will end up in the foster care system in about 5 more years.
