Heavy metal in the 1980’s is hard to describe. Its static style did not change much from the 1970’s, but the lyrics, image, and theatrics took a step forward. Heavy metal had a huge impact in the 1980’s and there were many successful bands. Van Halen took heavy metal to new heights. After more than two decades of playing sold-out concert halls, selling millions of albums and enduring various lineup changes and solo projects, Van Halen is recognized as one of the most resilient and successful rock bands to emerge from the 1970s and continue into the 1980’s.
Along with the Beatles, The Rolling Stones are one of the most famous English rock bands to influence America. Introducing teenagers to African American urban blues, and transforming the urban blues into something like high-energized rock and roll are just some of the things the Stones brought to America (Kallen 10-11). The original line-up of the band included; Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, and Ian Stewart (Kallen 8-9). They have come a long way to get where they are now, and to this day they are still playing their music around the world. They rarely sang other people's music because they had so much content. Many other groups which followed were inspired by The Beatles. They set trends for music and style for many years. Over the years, The Beatles have made a huge impact on music and music history because they were willing to try things that were new and different. They will never be forgotten (News, Daily).
Led Zeppelin was an English heavy metal band formed in London, England in 1968. Led Zeppelin consisted of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham. Heavy metal bands like Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, etc. were very popular due to their music and influences. In the 1980s, bands like Iron Maiden and Motorhead from England were a huge hit on the rock charts.

Up until the band's break up, they created many songs that changed the form of popular music on the airwaves for years and years. Although not all of the members are still alive and well as of today, their music has made a longlasting impact that will be enjoyed by those who hear it for generations upon generations to come. The Beatles began to form in March of 1957 due to John Lennon starting a music group with some of his friends from Quarry Bank High School called “The Blackjacks”, which was later changed to “The Quarrymen” due to another well respected local band sharing the name of “The Blackjacks”. Paul McCartney later joined the group after he met Lennon in July of the same exact year in which the band was formed.
Mumford and Sons Concert - SWOT Analysis On September 11th, 2013, Mumford and Sons played a concert in Simpsonville, South Carolina at the Charter Amphitheater in Heritage Park. The Grammy Award winning folk-rockers, known for their hits “I Will Wait” and “Little Lion Man”, were joined and supported on the lineup by fellow British music groups The Vaccines and Bear’s Den. I purchased a General Admission Lawn ticket for $35, well over a month before the day of the show. Right after I heard that Mumford and Sons, one of my favorite bands, were coming to my hometown I knew I had to attend the show no matter what. My excitement continued to build as I kept hearing about the show on the radio, seeing commercials on television, and hearing all my friends talk about it.

AC/DC should be considered the best rock band, because Angus Young is a guitar playing powerhouse, because Bon Scott was the raw and raunchy singer of all dreams ,and because of AC/DC's achievements. Angus Young is well known for his great guitar playing skills. He was voted Scotland's greatest guitarist by the Total Guitar Magazine(“Angus Young...”).
