Motivation according to Eva (2005) is a psychosomatic feature that arouses an individual into performing activities and obligations towards a desired aim. Accordingly, several researchers have conducted studies on motivation as well as its resulting implications on people within different areas (Eva, 2005). Scholars have developed numerous theories with respect to this subject. For instance, propositions such as Maslow’s Law of Hierarchical Needs have enabled teachers to concentrate on ways of improving performance in their subject areas (Rod, 2012)
Relative Emphasis on Motivation
With respect to education, motivation is considerably important. As noted, one of the main reasons behind the acknowledgement and support of this feature is due to the significant consequences it imposes on individual performance.
