In the business world today, there are many different personalities and with those personalities comes different ways leaders run their organizations and guide their employees. The success and failures of a company is often determined by the governance of its managers, leaders and often CEO’s. Guidance and vision to employees from their leaders is a key factor and strong leadership yields great results. Successful leaders ensure that their team members have everything they need to be productive and successful with minimal barriers. There are several different types of leadership styles that can help or harm a company. At times companies have to deal with ongoing challenges and changes within the business climate in uncharted territory with no means of knowing what comes next. These leaders feel the need to be in control over every situation. Command and control leaders believe that the outcome of any situation is in their hands. They are not good listeners and offer one way communication with their employees. This leadership style does not allow others to have any comments or concerns regarding any decisions making. There are a lot of leaders that have developed themselves on how to be command and control managers; politicians particularly and leaders within organizations that have a culture based on command and control norms. It is hard to escape this leadership style’s historic influence and dominance, predominantly for certain religious organizations. Command and control leaders are well respected in nature and they use a top-down approach allowing the leaders that are in higher standards, and are in senior management positions to be treated with admiration and giving them the honor to have more power over others within the
