Leadership Qualities and Group Performance

Leadership course created for helping you develop as a leader. In the plan, you learn your own personal and professional leadership goals and steps to achieve these goals. During your life and career, you should continually update and improve yourself. If you are not able to lead yourself you cannot lead others. Leader is a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal. Before being a good leader first of all you have to ask yourself this question “Who am I?” According to the book "Exploring Leadership" by Susan R. Komives, Nance Lucas, McMahon, communication, teamwork skills, and understanding are also essential factors for a great leader. In my opinion in order to be an effective leader you have to spent more time and energy in your own personal growth. A great leader must combine all positive characteristics. First of all, he or she has to be responsible person; also communication skills, brainstorming, smartness, fairness and other positive sides must be in the menu of the great leader. Good leaders need to be purposeful, inclusive, empowering, ethical and process-oriented. Responsibility is the main thing among these characteristics. Communication leads us to personal effectiveness and helps us to network and collaborate with other people. With the help of communication a great leader creates better interpersonal relations with people. Communication involves 6 basic elements: sender, message, channel, receiver, noise, and feedback. By becoming aware of these elements a great leader can improve communication skills. There are some barriers to communication like a lack of attention, interest, trusts, respect and so on. ...The most appropriate variant is to be a diplomat in Germany. In the way going to success, there are always possible difficulties, which we can face. I have also some qualities such communication skills, creativity, determination, ability to convince people and so on. Emotional intelligence makes people successful, after this come IQ and technical skills. The PERMA model was developed by respected psychologist, Martin Seligman, and was widely published in his influential 2011 book, "Flourish.” Well-being theory can be named as PERMA: positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning and accomplishment. In my future life, I will try to improve these qualities, and also try to strength my weak side of listening attentively others. Understanding and responding effectively to the needs of followers and the leadership situation helps us to be successful in our life.
