Leadership Can Be Developed or Gained

From the beginning of the earth, people have learned, and gained the role of a leader. But why? What is their effect on those around them? Leaders are central to directing groups, leadership can be developed or gained, and there are many examples of this from examples in the past.

People have said that leaders are great, and that they do so much to help, but what do they actually do, and how can they be used? “In its simplest sense authentic leadership is a process of influence, involving a leader and a group with the intention of accomplishing a goal” (Kinsler, 92-105). A leader takes charge of a group, and leads them towards a particular goal. We have all been in a situation, where we knew what we wanted, but had a hard time getting there. One example of this could be with physical fitness. Most people would like to be in better shape, but not many have the motivation to get there on their own, so they join a class. In this class there is a teacher, or mentor that helps lead the group towards success, and their end goal which is becoming physically fit.
Using leadership is the key to motivating, and reaching a vision. When you are in a crowd of individuals that are all striving for a central goal, and a leader rises to guide them, things start to fall into place. There are two different types of leadership, Authoritarian, and Visionary. In china they observed the following differences between leadership styles being used.
“Authoritarian leaders take all the control and freedom of the group, showing little respect, and controlling behaviors from their followers. This degrades the compliance of individuals, and degrades ones’ self-worth. They become passive in their goals, progress, and engagement, which leads to a feeling ...
