Although Lawrence's dad had been getting harsher and tended to get angry easily. Lawrence had a argument with his father ending up with him being enrolled in military school. One July afternoon in 1931 on a cloudy and cool afternoon a police officer walks in the local areas detective office. The officer sets a dirty folder with a big brown splotch on it, which seems to be a coffee stain. Inside the stained folder contains 2 printed pages of check copies. Little does the detective know he has a long road ahead of him on discovering the unsolved mystery of Lawrence Exeter Jr.
He decides to give his son two hundred thousand dollars, then checks into a hotel. Following this event, he purchases more flowers, which are most likely for his wife once again. I think that his wife kicked him out after finding out that he was cheating on her. He felt guilty, so he ordered her some flowers. Shortly after Valentine’s day, Lawrence Jr finds himself in a candy shop, where he purchases some sweets. While there, he fell in love, and ended up getting married around May 1930. In August of 1929, Lawrence begins to use his money unwisely; constantly spending and loaning money to friends. Additionally, he and his wife are not doing so well, and actually end up getting divorced. There is very much money involved, and included quite a few lawyers. After the divorce, Lawrence is seen giving more money to the same man as before, Tony Spegoni, and eventually a man named Peter. It is noted that his handwriting becomes increasingly shaky, as if he is nervous. This is the last check written by Lawrence Exeter Jr. I believe that he was killed by Tony and Peter after not giving them what they

In The United States the number of people in prison is over two million, and of those two million it is estimated that two thirds of them will be back in prison within three years (Correctional Populations). Some people argue that rehabilitation is the most effective way to handle prisoners, but the risks don’t outweigh the benefits, especially for murderers. Nobles was an example of a murderer who appeared rehabilitated, but under close examination of his actions, he was no more than a manipulating sociopath. Nobles was not rehabilitated because his actions in court showed how he felt, his faith was a facade, and he was a schizophrenic.
Marion Barry also known as “Major for life” served four-term mayor. He was the public face of Washington’s best known former major. He was a man venerated, disgraced and redeemed in a political career. He was charismatic, irrepressible and engaging even in corruption couldn’t keep him out of politics. Marion Barry was a role model and in inspiration for many people. He was also known for being the most influential and savvy local politician of his generation. In their respective life journey, both Wes Moores often found them facing with some hard choices or decision to make or standing at a crossroads of life change without knowing which way to turn. Therefore, “for all of us who live in the most precarious places in this country, our destinies can be determined by a single stumble down the wrong path or a tentative step down the right one” (Moore xiv). During their early childhood, both Wes Moores struggle at school and had troubles with the law. However, for the author Wes Moore, attending the military school was the biggest turning point in his life. Aware of his mother’s determination, his family’s sacrifice, and encouragement from classmates and instructors as well as the influence of role models, the author Wes Moore finally made up his mind that he wanted to succeed in the military school. At the end, the author Wes Moore fulfilled his dream and did well academically from then on. On the other hand, the other Wes Moore had tumbled on a series of missteps along the road: dropping out of school, getting involved with drug trade, committing violent crimes, and being a father of four when he was so young and immature. Even though there was a time when he tried to reinvent himself: joining the Job Corp, getting a high school diploma, and finding some decent jobs, the reality and his making-quick-money mentality eventually brought him back to the original path with no return. At last, by committing an armed robbery that left a police officer dead, the other Wes Moore irreversibly drove himself to the dead end of life. Obviously, based on their early life experiences, both Wes Moores would have gone the same route to failure. Nevertheless, at some critical points of their lives, the author Wes Moore made some good choices with intervention and guidance of good people while the other Wes Moore lost his footing under undue

I am from a small town and was looking to be part of a community. The town of wayne is very welcoming to students without being too overwhelmingly huge. I loved the small town feel of campus and all the student are very friendly. The class sizes are small and the teachers actually care about getting to know us students. Unlike huge universities I felt like I could get involved with things on campus and really enjoy my time as a student.

Marcus Luttrell has had that dream of being a SEAL since the age of seven, and his determination and will to survive the hardest training in military history, gave Luttrell the title of a Navy SEAL.
