Language has Evolved in the Classrooms of Secondary Schools in Trinidad and Tobago

Introduction

In our quest to develop our human resources, we must utilize the English language. The internet Language is in English. Information and research are usually offered in English. Books, sports, music, technology, science, advertising, fashion, newspaper, airports, all employ the English Language. On a personal level, English Language can develop one’s career, opens opportunities for studying abroad, build one’s confidence and boost the self-esteem. Educators sometimes wrestle with what is acceptable language in the classrooms. Students are continually bringing new words and dialect into the classroom as they interact with various cultures on the internet.
