Something creative, which will make them wonder and dive deep in their own thoughts of what it could imply, however it should be straight ahead to the point. Iconic logo designers, they twist the cells of your brains bringing out reflections, which you thought you might never know or have. They usually want to leave the client with just one thing to remember about their design. They know that indeed the customer will not spend a lot of time studying the logo. In other application, brand may be referred as trademark, which is legally appropriate term. The brand is the most powerful weapon in the market (LePla & Parker, 1999). Brands possess personality in which people associate their experience. Oftentimes, they are related to the core values the company executes.
Visual elements exist in order to describe seeing pieces of art. Therefore Target’s visual elements include shape, line, and color. Circles are geometric shapes present in the design to create an area with identifiable boundaries. The two red shapes make a negative space between each other. This space thick and white and exists to separate the positive red shapes and create another ring. The classic logo consists of three homocentric circles who’s purpose is to create the illusion of rings that communicates a universal interpretation of a target. Studies claim that terminological and taxonomic shortcomings are the reasons for the sufferings of brand mascots. Mascots are considered to be more than just beasts for branding. Sometimes they eclipse the products or services they carry while sometimes they have a huge impact of themselves and their brands.

Erik Nitsche is a graphic designer whose successful career spanned everything from corporate identity to packaging design. He left a mark during his sixty year career as a designer and had a distinct style when it came to design. He said himself that he “was a Swiss in the graphic arts.” He walked into well-known places and got work immediately (Heller.) Nitsche held this heritage responsible for getting him where he was. Even though he may not be as well known as other designers, like Saul Bass and Paul Rand, he is said to be their equal (Heller.) Overall, Nitsche was an art director, graphic design, photographer, package designer, and illustrator who was known for his posters, advertisements, logos, magazine covers, book designs, and more.

A design on a shirt, an image on a billboard, or even the cover of a magazine all share something in common with one another. These items all had once been on the computer screen or on a piece of paper, designed by an artist known as a graphic designer. After being ranked 8th in the world and having a known name in the sporting industry, he was easily contacted and hired for designing sports/surfing magazines and advertisements. In the interview conducted by Designboom, Carson stated that he had no real formal training in the design world, resulting in a lack of knowledge in basic design content (i.e. grids, formulas, schools of thought, etc.) (Designboom, 2014). But, with his early interest and education in sociology, and his Bachelor of Arts degree, he is easily able to work with real stories, real people, events, and music. When Carson is given the brief article that he must design around, or the client’s idea pitch, he just designs what he feels is right (Designboom, 2014). The more pieces he creates, the more experimental he gets. This act of fearlessness and adventuresome is what makes him such a desirable designer. Clients are confident that he will produce something unique, beautiful, and daring. Carson stated that his strongest skill is his “ability to speak visually and emotionally to a wide variety of audiences and topics” (Designboom, 2014).
