Macbeth, one of the most popular plays in Shakespeare’s history. Macbeth a drama filled play full of thrills and entertainment. Macbeth is a very innocent character. He is so light hearted and would never thinking about hurting anyone. But his “dear wife” lady Macbeth and the three witches convinced him to kill king Duncan. Both lady Macbeth and the three witches both used sneaky little tricks to convince Macbeth that it was the right thing to do. Lady Macbeth’s extreme ambition for power influenced Macbeth massively and caused him to take violent action. Lady Macbeth’s determination and sneakiness causes Macbeth to listen to her orders. Lady Macbeth is one of the most powerful characters in the play and is very smart how she influences people. It is seen throughout the course of the play that lady Macbeth is one of the most powerful characters and is known for her strength of will and determination. Frequently, lady Macbeth is seen impacting upon the thoughts and mind set of Macbeth’s loyal nature, turning him into a mass murdering backstabber. Lady Macbeth is excessively supportive of and is always helping Macbeth to succeed and achieve his goals. In Act 1 Scene five Lady Macbeth receives a letter from Macbeth explaining his meeting with the supernatural beings, the three Witches. Macbeth expresses in the letter as to how he was given the title of “Thane of Cawdor” and was hailed. The witches chanted “Hail, King that shalt be!”, Macbeth then took this information as a chance that the king may have him crowned as future king but lady Macbeth had many other motives. Lady Macbeth then began to degrade Macbeth of his masculinity. “ Yet do I fear thy nature;/It is too full o’ th’ milk of human kindness/ To catch the nearest way” (Act 1, Scene 5) The use of the metaphorical reference “milk” likens his innocence showing how lady Macbeth doubts Macbeth's ability and will to kill Duncan.
