“Unlimited power corrupts the possessor.” this quote comes from William Pitt. What this quote means to me is that if a person had too much power it will badly affect him or her. This effect is shown in a book by George Orwell called “Animal Farm”. This book is about animals taking complete control of a farm. Eventually the full power is given to the pigs. The effect of having this power causes many problems that the rest on the animals have no control over. Similarly, this effect is taken place in the Russian Revolution. The way they both are similar is because they both use their words to manipulate others. Vladimir Lenin shows this in 1918-1921 when he lead the Bolsheviks into dictatorship and eliminating all rebel parties. He also motivated a revolution to start by using his propaganda to get his ideas to others. Likewise, Squealer helped Napoleon gain dictatorship and eliminated the rebellious party which was snowball. He also motivated the other animals to work harder. He motivated them to work harder so they'd work longer and harder without getting as much back. He also lied to the animals for the benefits of the pigs which is why the pigs lived in luxury compared to the rest of the animals.

The Russian Revolution and Animal Farm were similar in many ways. People in both of these were also alike such as Vladimir Lenin with Squealer and Czar Nicholas II with Farmer Jones. This shows that having too much power would badly affect the person because by giving them all the power they would take advantage of it causing many problems which is why we shouldn't depend on one person to rule over
