Lac Vien Vietnamese Restaurant opened in 2010, they are now running three locations in North York, Mississauga, and Scarborough, but I will deal with in this paper only North York branch near Yorkdale Mall. Lac Vien is a casual restaurant which serves basic things in Vietnamese cuisine with all sorts of the classic Pho, but there is a great variety of Asian foods in the menu for dine-in or take-out. I have been going there for one year, foods are consistently good and staffs are friendly and accommodating.

Trendy pop song was played in the background while talking, and the voice was indistinct because of the loud music. It would have been easier if I could book through online. They have their own site which contains who they are, where they are, and most importantly, what they are serving, however, it does not exist the reservation page.
Upon arriving Lac Vien, I was welcomed by a server as usual, and she guided me towards my reserved seat. I asked her if I could move to more private table so that I could enjoy my time by myself. She then took me a back area where no one was there, which was perfect spot for me.
First things you observe when you sit are different types of sauces: black and red sauce, Hoisin and Sriracha, chili sauce and soy sauce. Do not put too much even if broth feels like it is lacking in the umami department, if so, it would overwhelm the delicate taste and aromatic properties of the broth. Napkins, spoons, chopsticks are available for taking at each table, fork and knife are provided when the dish is coming to you. All of the menu listings feature English, Vietnamese, and Chinese names. There is no wine list (House wines available), but in addition to the meals, they have an impressive bar menu instead, which is what this restaurant makes interesting. You will see not only alcohol beverage such as draft beer, vodka, sake, but also non-alcohol beverage including 7 different types of milkshakes which are made by real fruits, and bubble tea with a bunch of flavours.
