Pharmacists are evidently an essential part of our health system as they specialize in the effective and safe drug usage. But their roles in the field and the community are beginning to change and expand making pharmacists play an integral and active role the health care system. The obligatory role of the pharmacist has always been to dispense the proper medicine to the patient ensuring effective treatment and safe usage. I have learned that pharmacists do not just stay in their community pharmacies or hospitals waiting for patients to approach, they also actively integrate themselves into the community or community centres in order to maximize the favourable effects to the their expertise will bring about to the patients. The next step is to discuss the situation with a student service organization such as OmbudService in order to get a second opinion. In this confidential setting, I would tell my side of the story, including how Heather plans to blackmail me, and hopefully their expertise and experience would recommend a right course of action. Undoubtedly, the finally step is to report the circumstances to the instructor, and I will try to provide any evidence that I can to prove that I did not participate in the cheating. However, if trouble does arise and the professor suspects cheating from me instead of Heather, I would seek advice from student service and proceed by appealing the charges until justice is served.
