The famous TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been on air since 2007. 11 years later, it is still a huge hit and is continuing to be produced and aired. There are many people in the Kardashian/ Jenner family, one specific is Kylie Jenner. She is a step-sister to Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney, and is the youngest at 20 years old. At her young age, she is extremely successful with her net worth of 50 million dollars mainly due to her company Kylie Cosmetics. Due to Kylie Jenner's family background causing her to be a connecter, her Kylie Cosmetics, more specifically the Kylie Lip kit, has trended worldwide and will continue to stay a trend because of the quality and her social rank of people wanting to be like her. Sales rocketed immediately after released. After her first product released, it was completely sold out in minutes. Due to this, “ Less than three months later, production was boosted to 500,000 units of all six shades. Today, about 300,000 units are produced of each product,”(Strugatz). She was not anticipating the demand of this product would be so high; therefore she was not producing enough. She has had to increase the production amount every time she launches a new product, because of the how much the consumers want it. Since she has sold so many and her sales have skyrocketed, she has earned millions of dollars and is still earning more. Along with that, “Growth shows no signs of slowing down, with Kylie Cosmetics on track to see a 25 percent increase in sales this year. That puts sales projections for 2017 at $386 million, and if that growth trajectory continues, Kylie Cosmetics, wholly conceptualized, founded and helmed by Kylie (with some help from mastermind and mom Kris Jenner) is on track to become beauty’s next billion-dollar baby by 2022,”(Strugatz). If her sales continue at this rate, which there are no signs that it will not, she will be one of very few people to have this much money at such a young age. However , “she says the growth of Kylie Cosmetics is the result of her love for makeup and her devotion to the brand,”(Ruffo).
