The given take on the constitution of knowledge by Morris Bishop is one that portrays knowledge as a grand puzzle, the pieces to which we strive to find and arrange in a way that pleases us. The discovery of a new piece (according to Bishop) may completely change the layout of the puzzle. Knowledge (despite the fact that its true nature still eludes us) is defined by the oxford dictionary as “facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.” The acquisition of this knowledge comes down to different Ways of Knowing through which we can process the knowledge we acquire and the impact this knowledge has on us.
