The Knicks and the Pacers have had a rivalry for a little more than two decades now . Being rivals since the Reggie Miller ara (the former point guard for the Indiana Pacers), they have many great games, battles and highlights. Being in the same conference, they play each other quite often and meet up in the playoffs frequently, being very well known teams and great competitors, make a good matchup to see. Belonging to different divisions ,the Knicks in the Atlantic and the Pacers in the Central division, they both reside in the Eastern conference. In 1967 the Pacers were founded by a group of six inventors ,among them Richard Tinkham, John DeVoe, Chuck DeVoe, Chuck Barnes, and Bob Collins. Although the team did not join the NBA until 1967. Located out of Indianapolis, Indiana the well renounced team takes the court on game day in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Team colors include navy gold silver and white. Owned by Herb Simon and General manager Larry Bird this NBA team is coached by Frank Vogel. With three ABA championships (1970, 1972, 1973) , one conference title (2000), and nine division titles three ABA and six NBA (1969, 1970, 1971, 1995, 1999, 2000,2004,2013,2014) they are a force to be reckoned with out on the court. …show more content…

Practicing and playing in the Madison Square Garden they wear their blue ,orange ,white ,and silver jerseys with pride. The Kicks are owned by The Madison Square Garden Company with their president being Phil Jackson. Also their general manager is Steve Mills and head coach is Derek Fisher.
