“A true Hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the size in his heart”-Zeus. Zeus claimed to be the ruler of heaven and earth. Also the god of law and fate. Many of us don’t know the true history of Zeus. Some may think he’s just the god of the sky and weather, with his lightning bolt weapon, controlling all others. But there is so much more to him than that.
The story of Zeus was said to be that his father, Cronus, swallowed all of Zeus’ five brothers and sisters, because he didn’t want his kids to grow up as rulers and replace him. Zeus’ mother, Rhea, decided she wanted newborn Zeus not to be swallowed. So he could live his life and maybe someday become a king. She took Zeus and hid him in a cave on Mount Dicte. When Zeus grew up, he went to free his brothers and sisters by making Cronus vomit them up. Together: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter and Hera, the Olympian gods went to fight. To get control of their universe. They vanquished their father, their king, and the other titans. Zeus then became the ruler and king of their universe for having saved his siblings. It is said Zeus is “The founder of kingly power”
Strength and power leads us, the way Zeus leads his universe. Together the Olympian gods have their own part they control. Hera the queen of the gods is also the goddess

Who in the legends of the Olympians was the ugliest god. The reason for him being ugly was Hera may have been upset for her son being ugly. She threw him into the sea from Mount Olympus and broke his legs. Others say Hephaestus took Hera’s side during an argument between her and Zeus. So Zeus threw him from Mount Olympus. Hephaestus is the god of metalworking. He makes armor for the other gods. Hephaestus is considered a very peaceful and loving god. The beginning of the myth of Cronus is about the father Uranus and the mother Gaea had children and the father did not like how one of them look so the other brothers took down their father Uranus .The middle of the myth is about is that Cronus, one of the children got married and he was afraid that his child would rise up against so he swallowed every one of them.At the end of the myth, Zeus one of his children did not get swallowed , he had a plan to get his siblings back and he did and he took down his father just like the prophet said would happen. In the myth had a prophecy that would someday happen and they both tried to not make it come true, but it still happened and they were both wrong trying to skip the prophet Cronus and his Titan brothers to rise up against their father and save their other brothers Cronus did
There is no doubt in mythology that the king of gods, Zeus, is the most supreme and powerful, ruling the sky. He controls the thunderbolt, a symbol of power feared by both gods and mortals. The Greeks and Romans honored Zeus above all other gods. He is without mistake, the god of all gods. Their stories of Zeus are plenty; his designs have molded mythology from his birth. Zeus' victory in outwitting his intelligent wife, Metis, by swallowing her pregnant, was the gateway used by the Greeks and Romans to show Zeus as the greatest god to come since his father and grandfather. However, as the stories of the gods and goddesses unfold, the Greeks and Roman's interpretation of Zeus' characteristics are different. Zeus is always upheld as the king of gods, but his other personal attributes to his godly rein are conflicting. Zeus' characteristics of fearfulness of female deities, cunningness and use of trickery, and lust in Ovid's Metamorphoses compared to the Theogony are opposed due to Hesiod's true respect of Zeus versus Ovid's lack of respect of Jupiter in Roman mythology.

Cronus and Rhea are the parents of Poseidon in Greek mythology. Poseidon is one of the 3 sons; the others are Hades and Zeus. And there three sisters were Demeter, Hestia, Hera, and while Cronus was the horrible father who feared his own children so he ate them at birth. He continued to eat the newborns until his wife tricked him by giving him stones instead to save Zeus. But sadly Poseidon (and Hades) was eaten by Cronus to save them Zeus (who was being raised by nymphs) became Cronus’ cupbearer. He poisoned Cronus and he threw up Poseidon. They started a war against Cronus it lasted for ten years until the brothers released the Cyclopes and in return they gave the each a weapon. Poseidon received a trident, Zeus a lightning bolt, and Hades the helmet of darkness.

Zeus, most likely the most renowned god of all gods, the mighty god of lightning has taken part in some of the most widely known myths of all times. Zeus has taken part in many Greek and Roman myths alike, either as Zeus or as his Roman counterpart of Jupiter. Unlike most gods in mythology though, Zeus is the main character in almost all of the myths he is mentioned in. Whether the myth is about his epic clash against the Titans, his fight against the Giants or even about his extramarital affairs, Zeus always seems to come out of these conflicts unaffected and triumphant. When examining Zeus’ character though, it is important to note that Zeus is a god that exhibits human characteristics throughout most of his myths. Growth is one of the many human attributes that Zeus portrays in many of his myths.

Hercules the great hero and the son of the great god Zeus, was the most famous of all the Greek mythological heroes. Hercules was known for his strength, bravery, and adventuresome personality. Hercules like most heroes had a god as their father, and he had a mortal mother named Alcmene. Hercules like most heroes was not an ordinary mortal and a good example was his superhuman strength.
