My First Screening Report: King Kong

For my first screening report I decided to watch the film, King Kong. The original King Kong was produced in 1933 by Merian C Cooper and Ernest B Schoedsack. This film was an 1:40:15 in length and was full of some great actors and a great actress. Some of the actors/actresses included Fay Wray who played Ann, Robert Armstrong who played Carl, Bruce Cabot who played John, and Frank Reicher who played Captain Englehorn. Not only with these great actors/actresses, but also a great story line is what allowed this film to become a later success. What I mean by later is that King Kong did not win an Academy Award but later on it would be noticed for is production. The film has since received some significant honors. He is known for being reckless and is struggling to find a female volunteer. While walking along the street he notices a female being scolded for stealing fruit. Carl sees this as an opportunity because feels like the female is vulnerable. After convincing the girl to join him Ann and the rest of the crew take off. The voyage is not very detailed but it was said that they traveled for 6 months. Finally, the ship reaches this mysterious island that is said to have natives and an unknown creature inhabiting it. When the crew arrives at show the walk into a village because they hear sounds that resemble a ceremony. They quickly find out that they are unwelcome when the ceremony is abruptly stopped and the crew is confronted. The natives take and interest in Ann and try to make a trade for her. Obviously, the crew is unable to agree to this so they quickly retreat back to the ship. Back on the ship, John (Captain Englehorn’s first mate) is talking to Ann on the deck about how he thinks he loves her. Ann also loves John and the start to kiss. John is called away and suddenly the natives snatch Ann off the boat. The crew later finds out she is missing and scurries to land to rescue her. The natives are using Ann as a sacrifice to Kong . Kong appears and takes her deep into the forest. A crew led by Carl and John head into the woods to get her. Along the way
