Kevin Spacey Fowler better known as Kevin Spacey was born on July 26, 1959 in South Orange, New Jersey. He was raised by his mother and farther, Kathleen Ann Knutson and Thomas Geoffrey Fowler. Kevin briefly attended Northridge Military Academy in California before he was kicked out for throwing a tire at another student’s head. Soon after he enrolled at Chatsworth High School where he stared in "The Sound of Music" as "Captain von Trapp". During high school Kevin would skip class to watch revival films at the NuArt Theater. He credits his love for acting and vast knowledge of film to watching the late late show when he was young. He attracted attention playing a villain "Mel Profitt" on the TV series Wiseguy in 1987. It was the first of many evil and mischievous characters Kevin would play. He went on to play as an ominous office manager in Glengarry Glen Ross in 1992, a viscous Hollywood exec in Swimming with Sharks in 1994, and most famously, the eerie eyewitness Verbal Kint in The Usual Suspects in 1995. For his role in The Usual Suspects Kevin earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor which propelled him into the spotlight. After playing a role in Al Pacino's Looking for Richard, Kevin directed Albino Alligator a hostage drama. He then went back to acting and stared in L.A. Confidential as detective Jack Vincennes and a murder suspect in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. In October 1999, soon after American Beauty hit theaters and would end of being one of Kevin’s biggest hits and earn him an Oscar for Best Actor Kevin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
