Volunteering is truly an amazing experience that I recommend each individual to do in their life during their spare time because it could benefit you with developing new skills and help others in their life. So far in my high school career, I have volunteered for many different organizations and some of those organizations helped other people. I have enjoyed volunteering very much and the ones that have changed my life and helped me become the person who I am right now are volunteering at the Longmont Public Library, St.vrain Habitat for Humanity, and packing food for homeless people at my church.
Everyone must help to have functionality, balance, and unity so that everything can flow properly. From the age of 3 volunteering has played a part of life, of course, when I did, I didn’t know it, but I think that is what makes it even more special. When you are willing to reach out and help someone without an incentive you are doing good for yourself, community and other people. The first time I fully understood what volunteering was when I volunteered for The Salvation Army to serve a Christmas dinner in 2005. I didn’t understand why I was there instead of opening my toys I had received, but then when I saw all the other kids who had nothing to look for except the dinner they were eating, my heart was instantly humbled and pouring with compassion.
