Justin Timberlake should be in the rock and roll hall of fame because he have influenced many people, was rewarded with many Grammy Awards, and most of his songs became in the top biggest songs in the world. First, “Justin Timberlake was born on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee, considered to be the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock and roll” (“Justin Timberlake Biography”). He grew up singing in the church choir and performed in talent contests. “In 1992, after several years of voice lessons, he appeared on Star Search, a televised tournament-style talent contests that helped launched the careers of many top entertainers” (“Justin Timberlake Biography”). The judges did really like him, but he didn’t win the contest. He didn’t give up though, he went on The Mickey Mouse Club that had singing and dancing when he was twelve, with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Ryan Gosling. The people were Janet Jackson, George Michael, Prince, Elton John, Timbaland, and Marvin Gaye. The most of all who have influenced Timberlake was Michael Jackson. Timberlake thanked Michael Jackson for giving Timberlake the “idea” to do his solo career when he stopped being in the band, N’Sync. “The “seed” of Timberlake’s solo career was apparently the single “Gone”, which Timberlake wrote around 2001. It was originally intended for Jackson” (Michaels). Timberlake wanted to do a duel alone with Michael Jackson, but Timberlake was still in the band. However, what attributed to Michael Jackson’s success was not because he got lucky, it is simply because he practiced hours and hours at his craft and essentially where he was born and raised. Michael wasn’t just blessed with an impressive dance skill set, behind those flashy dance moves was hard work and dedication. At the early age of 5, Michael Jackson studied and was inspired by the late great icon James Brown. Jackson studied the musicians legendary singing, dancing, and even his mannerisms while he was performing on stage. While Michael was studying the late singer, he had a hunch that he wanted to achieve major stardom in the same fashion as James Brown. Performers such as, Rick Barry, Status Green, Corey Wagar, Jerzy Jung, Natalie Stovall, Alex Brumel, and Andrew Holtz have all come to know his commitment to songwriting quite well, with some gaining major momentum because of it. His long career has seen him go thru several major label recording deals and at least three distinct publishing deals. He has achieved song placements in TV and film, and working with great producers and mentors like Danny Kortchmar (Don Henley, James Taylor, Rod Stewart), Peter Collins (Jewel, Rush, Indigo Girls), Monty Powell (Keith Urban, Lady A, Diamond Rio) and others that he’s no doubt picked up a few tricks from over the years.
He worked hard to become like them, to become good enough so that one day he could meet them and say he does this because of them. He studied moves, music, and just the way they were in general. When first starting you could see a the inspiration that these artists had on him. In the year of 2011 he made a song in tribute to Michael Jackson which became the hit known as she ain't you. To the public eye the things his influences stood for a slowly fading away from what Chris stands for especially after the the year 2009 when Chris and his first love known nationwide Rihanna got into a dispute that caused Chris to get charged with domestic

The Godfather of soul, James Brown was known for his classic blues, funk music, dance moves and soul music. James Brown influenced both artists and many others through soul, funk, and R&B music. According to Los Angeles Times, “In 1983, James Brown invited Michael Jackson on stage, who then invited Prince” (“Price, Jackson, and Brown on Stage”), with no hesitation both men got up on stage and sung with the Godfather of soul, which was a moment never forgotten by many till today. James Brown was like a father to both men, he taught them to follow rhythm and the groove rather than simply sticking to the typical musical conventions and structure every other musician out there
The song that “kicked off his career” is Lay me Down. Every time I hear this song I remember driving around aimlessly with my best friend, of 10 years, Anna. At this time we were dealing with problems in all of those subjects.
Secondly, Michael Jackson collaborated with Eddie Van Halen in order to provide the iconic guitar riffs and solo in the song. In today’s world, to most that would seem like a perfectly acceptable collaboration, but at the time of Thriller's release, the pairing of a white rock icon and a black singer/performer was virtually unheard of (Healy, 2013). Despite the “taboo” aspect of the pairing, it obviously paid off in the end and helped create one of Michael’s most recognizable and iconic songs of his
