Each person is different and unique. As many know all too well, some personality types just do not mix well and cause chaos in the workplace and on a personal level. What if there was a way to help mend these relationships and make things work more smoothly in the workplace? There is no doubt that the productivity in our businesses, schools, and homes would increase exponentially. Personality tests provide us with the insight needed to know exactly what type of person we are and how we can mesh with others of different types to make relations more smoothly. Many individuals are perplexed or even bothered by the methods that another may take when getting things done. Some people may take their time and have a more relaxed approach to their work, while others may be the type to jump in and get things done as quickly as possible and move to the next problem. The purpose of this project is to look into my own life and find out what makes up my own personality type, and how I may better interact with others in a professional setting.
Method
Using the Jung Typology Test, I found my four-letter type that defines my personality. After I found my personality type, I directed my research to personalitypage.com to find out more about my type; such as, what my type was seen as to others, what sort of careers are normal for someone with my type to pursue, how I relate with others, and what I should do to grow personally and professionally. Type Talk at Work provided more insight into my own type, as well as a look into the minds of others.

Since I began the book Type Talk at Work I have examined my coworkers as well as my students and team to try and put letters to them. I try to see how they tick, and what drives them. I feel that finding out these things can make for smoother relations and a better overall outcome in our goals as a school and football team. I feel that I have an advantage when it comes to putting letters to the people I interact with because my personality type has an ability to read people well.
• In particular, what have you learned about yourself from this personality test that will help you be a better employee, co-worker, and/or manager? Provide specific examples.
I have found that even though my personality is outgoing and I tend to make friends quickly in any situation, I can be a bit abrasive to those who tend to stay to themselves. I should be a better listener and chose what I say with more caution.
