I walk into the gym rows and rows of people there waiting to watch our game. Kennedy who is 6’0 is walking torque the middle of the court for a jump ball. The opposite who is competing with her for the jump ball is a 6’1-6’2 big girl. The whistle blows and Kennedy tips it back, chloe grabbed it and started to push down the court, pounding on the ball. Chloe pasees it to Elle who gives it to Addy who is 5’5 pushing the big girl back. Addy swings her left leg across her body. Puts up the shot and the big girl blocks it. One of the Lady Mombas (24) shoots the ball down the court having one of her teammates catch it. Everyone is sprinting down the floor. Number 33 gets the pass and shoots the ball. Elle puts up the shot and misses. She claps her hands hard showing she is disappointed in herself for missing. Everyone trying to get the rebound; everyone is smacking the ball from each other. A Mombas smacked it all the way to the left side of the court from underneath the basket. The ref says green ball but then gives it to us even though we are blue. The guards run to get the ball passed in but then the ref blows the whistle tweet. He says it’s the Mombas ball, everyone is so confused. Mombas pass it in; the ball is coming up court. Lilah tries to pass to Addy and the pass gets deflected. Our coach is screaming his head off at Lilah. He is not fond of her, I call what just happened the dog house. Lilah is in the coach's dog house. Izzy who is 4’3 is screaming at them, “take care of the ball ladies, let’s go!” Chloe passes it to Elle and Elle passes it back. Joes High School’s total enrollment consisted of sixteen girls, and twenty boys. Ten of the boys that had enrolled there played basketball. All of the boys were over six feet tall. Lane Sullivan, the new coach of the basketball team, had never even touched a basketball before he started coaching. Sullivan had never coached anything at all before he started coaching the Joes basketball team. In order to gain knowledge about the sport, he got a book about it. He started coaching in 1927, but before the 1928 basketball season, Joes High School didn’t even have a gym. Instead, they’d practice outside on a dirt court, and two times a week they’d take a bus to the nearest gym, which was ten miles away. In order to play home games, the boys had to play in the local dance hall. The “court” was nowhere near regulation size, and the ceiling was so short that the boys couldn’t shoot an arched shot. The people who attended these basketball games had no place to sit and watch the game, the all stood around the edges of the court and on the small stage. Joes High School finally got their own gym around Christmas time because the people of Joes donated their time and material in order to make it happen.
Do you want to know what the most entertaining soccer game is? It’s Rocket League. Rocket league is a soccer video game where turbo cars kick a metal soccer ball bigger than the cars themselves. It has the same rules as footsal which is indoor soccer. There is no out of bounds so players can kick the ball wherever they want. They can even hit it midair. Rocket League is entertaining because cars can drive on the walls, crash into other cars and send them flying, and when someone scores the ball explodes.

Day in and day out he practiced and practiced. He practiced his jump shot, his passing his dribbling and his rebound shots. Again, he approached the older boys with confidence. Next, the games start and every court is being used. Danny, Terrell, and Jay Swanson are all on the Rebels. The first game is against the Crushers. The Crushers star player is Omar Whytlaw. He was ranked the third best in the camp. During the game, Jay did not hustle back on defense, so Danny calls him out on it. Jay responds with a smart comment of his own, which causes Danny to fire a hard pass at him. Jay ends up getting hit in the face and knocked over. He charges at Danny and catches him with a fist. The emotion is intense. Everyone in the gym is on the edge of his or her seat. Time is expiring as the final shot for the win sails through the air. The buzzer sounds… Athletics are a critical element of high school lives--whether it be playing for or supporting one’s team. In order to accomplish success in a season, these supporting individuals are forced to rely on a select few of premier athletes. From day one of tryouts, these athletes are crafted and molded based on their hard work as well as their ability to play in accordance with the coach’s style. At a varsity level, where victory has his or her job on the line, coaches should not be required to play every member of the team equally.
...d actually passed it and stole it mid-flight. He was all alone, everyone behind him, clear path to the basket. He finger rolled it out of his hands and into the hoop. Tie game with ten seconds left. LeBron James slowly dribbled up the court as the clock clicked down. He hesitated and then quickly drove by Kevin Durant. Past half court now with three seconds left. LeBron knew he only had time to hoist up a deep prayer from way outside. As he stopped, Kevin was charging from behind as he released the deep bomb. Kevin slapped the ball from behind and the buzzer sounded. They were heading to another overtime. This game was no longer a five on five matchup. It was one on one. LeBron James vs Kevin Durant. LeBron James and Kevin Durant will always be heavily compared and contrasted, long after their days in the league and while the game of basketball continues to evolve.
It was a sunny day when Trevor was playing basketball up at the court with some other people from the neighborhood. “Eyo, pass the ball Luke!”, Trevor catches the pass from Luke and tries to dunk, and succeeds. Loud cheers can be heard, and some grunts, coming from the opponent’s side of course.
“Can I play basketball?” I asked uncertainly. The next week my dad signed me up for recreational basketball at the huntley park district. Even though everyone was put onto a team, there was still a tryout. What happened there was the most embarrassing moment of my life; I missed every single shot I took, except for one lay up, and I did so poorly on the ball handling drills that the coach said, “Hey Jim, how many points does he lose if he didn’t go through the cones at all.”
Bowling is one of the most popular sport in the world, is one of the oldest and most popular game bowling is a sport that can be dated back to circa 3200 BC, Bowling more than 500 years old. The equipment used for bowling also had a great advance in technology as far as the first rubber ball made in 1905 called the “Evertrue”. “Pin boy” a person responsible for setting up the pins, by adding an automatic “Pin Spoter” and it helps be for they had the right equipment. The sport of Bowling grew and grew because of all the media attention, bowling has grown leaps and bounds from its humble carved beginnings and is still growing today.
Green Bay served the ball next. It was a low, hard jump serve. It was a long volley filled with powerful hits and awesome teamwork. Green Bay won the volley and scored a point. After that Green Bay scored a couple more points before they had a side out. The Phoenix was hitting so well and they were getting the other team so frustrated the coach took a time-out. During the time-out the crowd was clapping loudly and some of the college students were cheering taunting cheers at the opposing team. The girls came back from the time-out and it was Green Bay's serve. The girl serving didn't let the time-out get to her and she served an ace serve. The ball went back and forth between each team with Youngstown State scoring a few points here and there but Green Bay remained ahead the entire first game and took the first game.
Shooting three pointer that on thing you see somebody do and your like wow how did you do that when you think about it you could do it to it just takes time to practice that's what my presentation is about i will be showing you how to shoot three pointers step by step i will follow you through on how to shoot threes accurately and most of the time stay on target i would say that one of the biggest mistakes made would that they don't practice they try going straight for the shot i think that you should start off by shooting from closer and as you get better or start making it more then that's when you should start to move back then you could go for that three point shot

Warm ups seemed to fly by, and before I knew it there were only 35 seconds left on the clock. Murray's team had already headed for the bench for their coach’s last second instructions. "Let's bring it in girls," yelled Coach Moore from our bench. We all ran over not wanting to miss any important last minute words of wisdom from Coach. "OK, starters check in, you know who you are. As I have said, they are about equal in ability with us. We need to go out there and play our hearts out tonight, girls. Enjoy this, it is your last home game this season," Coach said. With that the Ref. blew his whistle to signal the start of the game. I, with the rest of the starters, walked out onto the court and got ready for the tip off, knowing I was completely prepared for the game.
Down two with six seconds to go fatigue had taken it tolls on the players. With little energy left; over time was not an option. I knew I had to go for the win. I walk on the floor confident of my ability that was until the whistle blew quickly turning my confident to butterflies. As I fought to get open I quickly saw the ball coming my way. As I rose for a jump shot time itself began to stay still. An in flesh everything became silent. As I watch the ball leave my hand I envisioned greatness; sure the ball was on its way in I started to celebrate that was until I hear the announcer say my teammate tip in miss shot to win us the game. Mix with emotion I celebrate with my teammate. “Ok guys, we have 24 hours until tip off. Get some rest because this is going to be the biggest game of your life. Let’s bring this championship back to Barton College. Go Bulldogs and Goodnight!” Why few players stay in the lobby to hang out I took it talk upon to work on my game and reflect on the semifinal game that just took place. At basketball games you will notice how there are all sorts of fans attending the game.
