Judaism and Islam are two of the oldest religions in the world. Both came from Abrahamic traditions, Judaism uses the bible and Islam uses the Q’uran. For many years, especially in the country of Israel, the Palestinians, who are Islamic and the Jew’s who follow the bible have clashed. Though the two cultures have some similarities, their differences in how they worship and believe has caused war and conflict for hundreds of years.
Judaism became a national religion on Mount Sinai in Arabia. It has since then permeated throughout the Western Hemisphere, the Middle East, parts of Africa and Asia. Judaism is one of the largest religions in the world and it is the basis for which both Christianity and Islam found its foundation. Judaism believe in God, and they believe that he is the only God. In Islam, the followers believe in Muhammad the prophet who founded the religion and the supreme God Allah. In the time that Muhammad was born and being raised by his uncle the two main religions were Judaism and Christianity. Muhammad frequented churches and synagogues, this is where he learned about religion and heard bible stories. These sames stories would later be show up in the Q’uran altered by Muhammad to fit Islam. (Roskin and Coyle, 2008). This is where the two religion clash the most. …show more content…

Both religions and cultures descended from Abraham. The Jews believe that they descended from Issac the son of Abraham who was supposedly the promised son, which would inherit the blessings of Abraham, and the Muslims believe that they are the descendants of Ishmael the other son of Abraham and also the son of the slave woman. With Isaac being the promised son and Ishmael being the son of a slave woman, there were bound to be conflict between the Jews and the Muslims because they both believe they are correct and the chosen one
