“Named after philanthropist Johns Hopkins, the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) gifts Baltimore residents with an array of health care services. The health system is an affiliate of world-renowned Johns Hopkins Medicine and oversees six hospitals: All Children’s Hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Bayview Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, Sibley Memorial Hospital, and Suburban Hospital. The not-for-profit teaching hospitals offer inpatient and outpatient health services that include general medicine, emergency/trauma care, pediatrics, maternity care, senior care, and numerous specialized areas of medicine. The university also consists of the Peabody Institute, the Applied Physics Laboratory, the Paul H.
