Booker T. Washington, John Hope and W .E.B. Du Bois are important people in the black history in the US. They were vocal in the African American struggle for economic social and political equality. However, they sharply disagree on the strategies to follow for the improvement and betterment of the social and economic welfare of the blacks. Washington is proposing that Africans should focus on getting a job and accept segregation instead of demanding for equality. He also gives a proposition that Africans should concentrate on working with their hands and learning trades.
