Mellon and Henry Ford are just a few of the greatest business leaders accredited with contributing to the industrialization of the United States. John D. Rockefeller, one of the major oil producers in the United States of America, began investing in the emerging oil business in 1863. He is widely considered to be one of the world’s wealthiest men, and greatest U.S. business leaders ever, for his part in creating, developing, and establishing the Standard Oil Company. Rockefeller was a leader who made an impact and was known for his devotion and intelligence. His impact towards the United States was shown to the countless citizens who paid their respect to him after his death. John D. Rockefeller was honored for his fortunes as a business man, and the importance of following through with each sector of the Standard Oil Company. It is known that there are several factors that led to the uprise of oil production in the United States, many of those relating to the works of Rockefeller. Even though it has been nearly 160 years since the Standard Oil Company was created, some of the questionable tactics and operations used by businesses are still present today. In politics, big businesses and companies still control how the media perceives them to an extent. In addition, there are still major judgement made on whether companies are rightfully doing things or not. Much like how businesses can advertise themselves positively, but when things negatively shift, they can withhold ads in order to alter the media's perception. John D. Rockefeller experienced a lot within his time of being a captain of industry, which was set as his initiative to start his achievements and partnerships. Business leader, John Davison Rockefeller is no doubt one of the most essential historic figures to be a part of the American history. He will be known for generations to come not only for being the creator, developer, and establisher of the Standard Oil Company, the face of wealth and fortune, and one of the highest charitable businessmen, but what he stood for and pursued.
