Jeison Aristizabal has inspired and been a hero to many people throughout his life. Born with cerebral palsy, he was able to fight through his disability and do what he wanted, despite peoples predictions. Him fighting even when people told him he couldn’t, helping many people with disabilities, and inspiring lots of people earns him the status of a hero. One of many ways he was proved he was a hero was when he helped many families with disabilities. With his organization ASODISVALLE, he has helped over 1,000 families who have someone with a disability (www.cnn.com). He was named CNN’s Hero of the Year award, and said “I want to tell you that yes you can. You can dream and you can achieve your dreams." (www.ibtimes.com). He also said that he figured out that he would be able to accomplish everything he put his mind to (www.vibe.com). He wanted to inspire people with his work, and he did. People say that he has given his confidence to thousands of kids with his business (www.vibe.com). Not everyone may think he is a hero though. I couldn’t find any reason people thought he wasn’t a hero during my research, but some people may think that he doesn’t really care about inspiring other people. They may think he just does it for the money. This is definitely not true, however. Everything he does, such as providing health care, healthy meals, and education for disabled people, he does for free. This proves that he doesn’t care about making money from his buisness. Overall, it is obvious that Jeison is a hero. He provides healthcare and education for disabled families out of the goodness of his heart, has inspired tons of kids and their families around the world, and has proved his doctors who didn’t belive in him wrong by starting a successful non-profit organization.
