“I like to sprinkle in some dark stuff because that’s life.” (Yaw). As an inspirational author, Yaw has influenced countless lives and was deemed apart of the Top Ten Influencers in 2017. (Forbes) This is mainly due to his entertaining yet relatable book series about his childhood struggles. The topics Yaw write about allow readers to connect to his problems in a comedic way. Although he is already twenty-nine, his love to entertain people can be experienced through his eye opening novels. During Yaw’s childhood, he grew up with his mother and two older brothers Jerid and Jacob Yaw in Long Beach, California. Their family did not include Yaw’s father, who eventually left after mentally and physically harming the trio of brothers. He had to worry more about money than his passion of entertainment. Yaw was also faced with body dysmorphia, which caused depression and thoughts of possible suicide. Through all of these hardfaces, Yaw decided to go to therapy to help heal his soul, and then wrote two best selling books about it all, New York Times. Furthermore, the books Yaw have written were both New York Times, Publishers Weekly, Los Angeles Times, and Wall Street Journal Best Sellers, Forbes. He is a special type of writer, using darkness as a way to tell his life stories. He uses unflattering words, twisted sadness, and some anxiety to write such bracingly honest novels. His deep, dark thoughts are stated in his books, including ones no one ever publicly wants to say, yet we all think. Yaw inspired millions of people through his incredible works of art.
