It was dark and cold. It was hard for me to catch my breath from running so long. It felt like I had ran forever. I was hoping he wouldn’t catch up to me. It all started one morning on a Friday. Jesse and I were playing football in the backyard of my house. Jesse was my best friend since 2nd grade and has been. We usually did everything together. She was basically my long lost sister. I thought about how we were already going to graduate and we wouldn’t have to wake up every morning to the alarm clock. It was sad because I wouldn’t be able to see all my other friend’s anymore. Matthew was going to UCLA and Jesse was going to UF. I was so upset that day because we only had 1 more day ‘till our graduation which was on a Saturday. I grabbed the …show more content…
I frowned and sat down on the dead grass. Pulling the grass from the ground, I thought. I hated Jesse’s little brother Danny. He was always giving his family trouble. He was a troublemaker. I always would cry when Jesse told me what he did that made his parents mad. I got up from the grass and looked at my phone, that was sitting on the silver table. I picked it up and looked at the screen. I had a text message from Matthew saying, “Hey do you think that you and Jesse can come to the graduation party? It’s going to be really fun. If you guys want to come it will be at my house after the graduation ceremony, @ 8.” I didn’t reply. I always thought these parties always got out of hand but then again Jesse would want to go. She is a party animal and would want me to go. After that day, I woke up to my alarm clock. The graduation ceremony was today. I got up and started showered. After I showered, I got dressed into my PJ’s because I wanted to do my hair first. I didn’t want to ruin my dress at all. It was a black laced dress that Jesse picked out for me. I plugged my curling iron in and waited until it heated up. While it was heating up, I grabbed my phone and started to look on

They ended up doing that when going to the ocean with Tarah and her boyfriend Cooper. But Cooper started to mess around with Darcy and threw a water bug that lives off of blood onto her sweater. Darcy screamed and struggled it off of her sweater, but ending up with her going home on the bus. While she was waiting for the bus, a Silver Toyota car came up with no one else on the street. Everything was back to normal or so I thought. Once, we reached my house I got off and hurried inside to get my dress on. My dress was simple not too blinged up and two different orange tones. As my mom helped me get the dress on she noticed my curls falling. She finished tying my dress before quickly getting the curling wand redoing them herself. I almost cried as they didn’t stay put, it was like they had a mind of their own. One look at the clock made me forget about them. We were now running late to church and I had yet to put my shoes on and get the rest of the stuff I needed to take. I don’t know how I moved so fast and got everything done. The photographer were here and taking pictures before going outside recording as I made my way out of the house with my parents and siblings. We took a couple of pictures before I got in the car fidgeting as I looked at the time. There was no way we were going to make it in time. After, everyone got in the car we made our way to Graham where the church service was going to be

I am an undocumented student at UC Davis. When I am asked a simple question such as, "describe your personal experiences", I ask myself: Where do I begin?
The night before, I didn’t practice my English so I knew what to say. By now, I knew most of the words, so I would just let my heart guide me. Besides, my cramped old house, which is actually just a junky garage in an abandoned alley, is too small to let out my feelings. Once I got to school after a cold walk in the snow, I placed myself by her locker and waited. Fourteen minutes had gone by, and still no sign of Lily. I only had a minute to get to class now, so I hurriedly collected myself and ran to my locker. I was disappointed, knowing that without Lily here, it would be the hardest day of school. I opened my locker and to my surprise a note fell to the floor. I quickly picked it up and gazed at the neat handwriting that clearly spelled my name.
The sound of my alarm buzzed while I struggled to get out of bed. I wiped my eyes and got out of bed. My mind was packed with thoughts and emotions. That day was a very special day for me. I had prepared for that day for months if not years. Just thinking about it, made me nervous. It was tryout day for the high school golf team. Even though I was on varsity since freshman year, I was still nervous because there was always the possibility that you can get booted if your performance is sub-par. After staring at the wall for a solid minute, I shook myself out of the trance I was in and continued with my routine. Minutes passed, and I was ready to go to school. I loaded my car up with my clubs and started for school. I had a hard time keeping
My daughters explained to their mother about the Aztec party they were excited to go. I was really nervous I didn’t want to tell them about what I had overheard. But I decided to go take a nap while the girls get ready for the party. They woke me up it was 7:00 pm it was pretty late. I had seen my wife carla she was the most elegant thing I had ever seen. Her hair was up to her waist with the color of brown, with her green beautiful eyes. My daughter Sofia had her mercury red hair with green eyes she was beautiful. My other daughter Amanda was gorgeous, she had her midnight black hair it flowed over her shoulders. When we left our home, we got in our car, I was really nervous I felt something very deep inside of me that something bad was going to happen. We got there around 7:30 pm it was dark. Anyway I had forgotten about the situation, I had seen earlier in the morning.I had to warn the king but the king wasn’t at the party. I came outside of the party to take some cool fresh in my lungs, my hair was long and wavy it would swing across my shoulders like if they were vines from a
Thumbs Out A girlfriend of mine once defended me to her father by saying, calmly, “Not everyone who wanders is lost.” The dad kicked me out of the house anyway. But the damage had been done. Not everyone who wanders is lost.
There have been tons of things that I have learned and been taught in my life, by a number of people such as family, teachers, or even friends on occasion. The things they taught me vary from math and other related subjects to just some truly simple yet meaningful life lessons. However, there is nothing quite as unique, quite as special as a person teaching themselves a life lesson. It really is an amazing accomplishment for a person to teach themselves something. It is not quite as simple as another person teaching them something because it is not just the transferring of information from one person to another. The person instead has to start from scratch and process the information they have in their mind in order to come up with a new thought
... thought that maybe we won’t be friends or even know each other in the future. Unexpectedly, we all had these feelings of fondness for a place we a come to despise and couldn’t wait to leave. Why would that happen to us? We all realized that in this moment we’re growing up but are far from “grown up.” Suddenly, there is a flash of light and in that moment I knew that the three of us would be separated for the rest of the day, maybe our lives. The flash brought everything back. It gave us a reason to go back into the hallway and meaninglessly chat with our friends. After we left that room we were still sharing a moment together but in a different sort of way. The picture was there and we had superficial thoughts but the graduation was so much more. It marked a major time in our lives and sent us off into the future. No longer were we the next generation because we were being sent off into the grown up world. Would we all still be appreciated? How is the world going to receive three naive girls who don’t know anything? All these questions were to be asked and to be forgotten because we got caught up in the moment. The picture marks that time in our past and an important time it was.
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
One day in the midst of summer, my friend Mike and I got off from a hard day of work and were on our way to the mall. While at work we had planned to meet a few people there. I was going to be seeing my friend Jessica who I had not talked to in years. Before leaving, we stopped off at our houses, took showers, and got ready. As I anxiously waited on the stairs for his car to roll into the driveway, my mom said, “Be careful and do not drive like an idiot.” I obviously said alright and she was on her way. Minutes later I see my friend Mike pull into the driveway. I slipped my feet into my shoes and got in his car. We were almost to the mall when his phone rang. He picked it up and said, “Hello?” It was my mom and she wanted to speak to me. Upon putting the phone to my ear she told me that I had to come home right away. She said that my dad had just gotten into a car crash and that I had to come home and watch my sister. I did not know how to break the news to Mike, that what we were anticipating all day would not happen. He was upset, but he understood what was going on. I came home thinking it was the same old same old; he had gotten hit by a drunk driver, the car got totaled, and he was fine.
