In other words the Hadith is a central to the proper understanding of the Qur’an. It is said that without the examples given by the Prophet as documented in the Hadith a follower/believer would not know how to pray, fast, perform Hajj if he/she had no knowledge of the Hadith. It is known that all necessary details are giving in the Hadith, not only in the Qur’an.
According to The Constitutional Rights Foundation website, Muhammad helped clarify the law by interpreting provisions in the Koran and acting as a judge in legal cases. Furthermore Islamic law, or Sharia law became an important part of the Muslim religion. Sharia most literally means “path” in Arabic, and guides all aspects of Muslim life. Sharia law followers will look to Sharia law for every aspect of their lives, whether it be who they should or should not invite over for dinner, or marry or how they should act in a certain situation. Muslims who recognize Sharia law to be the ultimate guide to their lives look to it for everything they need guidance or help with.
Mass amounts of literature (the Koran, haddith, and sunnah) provide specific guidance to one’s daily life, thus shaping a Muslim’s culture. It is still the role of each Muslim to create the life he/she wants by following the many options available in Islam. Works Cited Bibiliography Esposito, John L. What Everyone Needs to Know about Islam. New York: Oxford University Press, 2002. Goldschmidt, Arthur Jr. and Lawrence Davidson.
The knowledge was basic, covering topics such as the pillars of Islam, articles of faith, and the direct origin of the Quran through the Prophet Muhammad, as well as information about Muhammad himself and some of his companions. One of my habits when reading a book is that halfway through the reading, I go back to reread the Introduction (if it exists). The reason for this is to gauge whether or not the overall tone and scope of the book is accurately described by the authors original setup, or thesis statements, for the book. It is here that the author describes the need for a universal and worldwide understanding of Islam, because of it's status as a major world religion. To westerners, it hopes to dispel much of the negative attention Muslims sometimes receive, and hopes to educate them that they are more similar than different.
God created the people for his worship. So the basic purpose of human life is to worship Allah.. When we study different religions we come to know that all religions have same opinion about the purpose of human life which is following. Christian tells that the purpose of human life is to worship of Allah. In bible Allah says 2” do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?
This refers to the effort Muslims put forth to live as closely to their faith as possible. Allah’s instructions include following rules of faith in the Quran, devotion to him, and doing what they can to contribute and help others. The Quran, like many other holy books and scriptures, has an overall peaceful message to go out into the world in the name of God and do good deeds that reflect his teaching. Over time some of these stories and passages have been interpreted differently, resulting in the formation of different religious groups within Islam.

Despite these significant similarities, the difference keeps the followers of the two religions apart. My religion considers Jesus to be a great prophet of god and we respect Jesus just like any Abraham, Moses and Muhammad. On the other hand, Christian consider Jesus as the son of god, a notion we Muslims cannot accept. However, I think it’s time for people to overlook the diffrences and embrace the commonalties.
Each report is a hadith considered as having authority because God enjoys guidance by the Prophet through the Quran. Sunna confirms the Quran as the traditional theory affirms and assists in interpretation or fills empty parts of the lines. Islamic formulas to dilute or eliminate the protections afforded by international human rights law are critically assessed by Ann Elizabeth Mayer. She discusses how these schemes reflect current debates in Muslim societies. Mayer discusses the political motives behind the selective use of elements of the Islamic tradition by conservative groups who oppose Muslim`s aspirations to enjoy human rights.
Esposito then proceeds to elaborate on the basic tenets of Islam. He describes Islam’s basic theology, and with that, the historical development of Islamic Law, including its sources, reasonings, and of course, the differing interpretations regarding it. Islam preaches various elements that are quite similar to the platform from which democracy has developed, and to support this claim, Irfan Ahmad and Bernard Lewis have written about this argument encompassing ideas of great importance. In the texts, A Historical Overview written by Bernard Lewis, and Democracy and Islam by Irfan Ahmad, both authors discuss the debate of whether Islam and democracy are compatible. This topic is worth investigating for multiple reasons, one of which is that the world’s population constitutes a large percentage of Muslims who now affect major political affairs on a global scale. By analyzing both articles, a conclusion can then be derived to answer this provocative question. By exploring various subtopics presented in each article, the compatibility paradigm can be justified.
