Hello, my name is John Doe and today I will answer the question, "Is a successful day of fishing a product of luck or skill." You know, talk to many casual anglers or those that do not fish, and when you tell them of your angling successes, they often scoff and tell you how fishing is all luck. I will not deny there is a certain element of luck to all angling and even yes, tournament angling. I once heard that "A bad day of fishing is a whole lot better than a good day of work." Unfortunately, I will never know who said that because the person that did say it is supposedly anonymous. Now before we get started today, I would like to ask all of you a question, if you were to try to catch a fish with the lure in front of you, how would you use it and where would you. No offense but chances are, 95% of you guy's answers will be wrong answering this question. This is so because studies show that 95% of bass angling is skill and the other 5% is luck.
