ESPN is using a popular sports website used by thousands of people every day for entertainment. I believe ESPN is a credible source, because they back up their reports with facts. It can be accessed through internet, television, radio, or on mobile devices. A good sign that it is credible is there are not very many ads. The more ads on websites the more likely it is not a credible website.
ESPN is owned by two dependable sources, Walt Disney and the Hearst Corporation. These two corporations are very trustworthy because they have a good reputation. Having trustworthy owners is another good sign that it is credible. If the owners are credible, then their websites should be credible as well.

They specialize in getting the correct information to their people. Very seldom do they get information wrong because they have specialists making sure they get things right. If they do give out false information they usually always correct what they have wrong. Whenever they give out false information they loose trust in their viewers. Their viewers want to choose the most accurate source they can and not be told false information.
Every day people use ESPN to explore the sports world. If they put false information frequently people would figure it out and not use it.
ESPN has been accused of having a bias towards sports teams. Some people believe that it is rating-driven. They believe that they favor certain teams such as the Boston Red Sox and the New York teams in particular.
Fox Sports is another very popular sports broadcaster that competes with ESPN. Both are very accurate sources and are only different in little ways. They both have been around for a long time and are very skilled in what they do. Another less popular website that is gaining in popularity is SBS Sport. SBS Sports is very similar to ESPN and Fox Sports but they broadcast a little differently.
