“Is abortion moral or immoral?” We yet have not acquired an answer to this question. Infer by that, we defend about the nature and the moral status of the fetus. In the other word, should we or should we not? Don Marquis as well as Bonnie Steinbock embraces with the argument of their own, which point out the morality of abortion.

Don Marquis upholds the fact of since abortion deprives the fetus of a future like ours therefore most abortion is morally wrong. He adheres in his article “abortion is, except possibly in rare cases, seriously immoral”, what he meant was that not all abortions are wrong. He did not discuss about the exception of “… abortion before implantation, abortion when the life of a woman is threatened by a pregnancy or abortion by rape”

Regard of that, Marquis has claimed “… it is in the same moral category as killing an innocent adult human being.” He inquires the reason of killing a human being is wrong. Marquis explains the killing is not just cause of pain and perceive of loss to the victim’s family, moreover it includes the basis loss to the victims themselves as “the loss of one’s life deprives one of all the experiences, activities, projects, and enjoyments that would otherwise have constituted one’s future”. With the respect of Marquis’s theory, it is the loss of a valuable future like ours that respond to the question of why killing a human being is morally wrong.

Moreover, Marquis also stated in his article that “…the future of a standard fetus includes a set of experiences, projects, activities, and such which are identical with the futures of adult human being and are identical with futures of young children…” The fetus can be seen as a potential human being. ...st because of its sex to be immoral, either because of the sexiest attitude expresses or because such abortions reflect insufficient respect for potential human life…” Religion or society should be strongly defended against abortion regardless of gender.

Still it might be morally wrong to take a life; it is also immoral to bring a child into the world where they do not want to be. Women do not have the same choice as men. When a man find out about a pregnancy he can choose to leave or stay in the relationship, but woman is bond with the child. If a woman does not want the responsibility if a child, then she should be able to have the choice of abortion as one of her options.

We can argue for abortion, but there are ethical and which is contrary to morality. The answer should have to back up those involved in the situation and should not be judged by the society.
