The 1920s was a time of great advancement in technology and science in the United States and around the world. After World War I, the troops around the world were eager to return home and live in prosperity. Before there was prosperity, there was an economic boom; due to people making more money they began spending more. To help them achieve both happiness and prosperity, new technological developments and inventions came out to make their lives easier. Some of the many developments and inventions included the Model T Ford, radio, frozen food, traffic signal, Band-Aid, penicillin, and television. Since most of the people in the 1920s were making a good amount of money, they were all able to afford and get their hands on all the new inventions and technological developments. The Model T was an all practical and affordable transportation for the common man; it was built from 1908 until 1927. It rapidly became a sensation for its low cost, durability, and easy maintenance. By the end of the decade, there was almost one car per family in the United States. Due to the Model T Ford, workers no longer had to live close to their jobs because now they could live farther away and still arrive to their jobs on time. It allowed people to live an easy life by making transportation easier and faster. Not to mention it also allowed families to visit distant relatives on a constant basis.
