Intranets
These days Intranets are becoming more and more popular throughout the business world and other types of organizations. Many companies and organizations are already making this change and many more are considering it. The advantages offered by Intranets when compared to other types of networks are many, at a reduced cost for the owner. Less maintenance, less programming and more flexibility on the network platform make this change interesting. Unlike other types of networks, Intranets allow different types of machines and operating systems already at hand to be operating on the same network platform. This reduces the cost when trying to implement this type of network because the machines and operating systems already at hand can still be used throughout the network without conflicting with one another. Quick access and easy programming is also another consideration that is made when considering this type of network.
Intranets have just started to be implemented throughout the world and already a big change is being noticed. Companies are keeping track of all of their important information on web sites, which are restricted to users, unless they have the security code to access them. Thanks to Internet technology, companies and other types of organizations are able to keep all of their information organized and easily accessible with a click of a button.
The Internet, how has it changed the world around us? Government, education, business is all wrapping around it. Is this because of all of the information on it, simplicity or is it the quickness, with a simple point and click and the information appears on the screen.
The first intention of the Web, as it is referred to, was not to create a sea of web servers and surfers. The Department of Defense created it for it's own use, to keep contact with all of the locations throughout the world, making it easier for them to retrieve and send information when desired. As businesses, government and education discover the advantages of the Internet and web technologies they are starting to implement it for internal use. This is better known as an Intranet, which represents a new model for internal information management, distribution and collaborative computing and offers a simplistic but powerful implementation of client/server computing.
Intranets are private Web-based networks, usually within corporation firewalls, that connect employees and business partners to vital corporate information.
Thousands of organizations are finding that Intranets can help empower their employees through more timely and less costly information flow. They let companies speed information and software to employees and business partners.
Intranets provide users with capabilities like looking up information, sending
In the beginning these two worlds are kept apart until Cyrano devises a way to bridge the two together. He discovers that the woman he loves, Roxanne is in love with a man named Christian. When he tells Christian that Roxanne has feelings for him, he reveals to Cyrano that he may have good looks, but a terrible way with words. Cyrano replies with "strange.... Now it seems I, if I gave my mind to it, I might perhaps make love well."..... "Borrow it then! - Your young manhood - lend me that, and we two make one hero of romance." (p. 84-85)
Psychologist claim that if a friendship lasts seven years, that it will last a lifetime. On the other hand, the novel, A Tequila Worm claims that to be a true friend, a comadre, you have to learn to become a comadre. I’ve always struggled to make friends (comadres). Not because I’m mean, but because I’m extremely introverted when it comes to the idea of socializing and not many people I’ve encountered accept my personality. I was able to connect to this novel because I have been blessed with the chance despite my struggle to make friends to have one and honestly that’s all I need. I have a one best friend, my comadre, my partner in crime. From the experiences Nanas and I have shared for the past seventeen years, I was able to connect to the friendship (comadrismo) Sofia and Berta portrayed in the novel, The Tequila Worm by viola Canales. Given that Roxane only really knows her "lover" through his letters, she builds an image of him in her mind that corresponds with the level of passion incorporated in to the letters. The image she has envisioned is of a young, healthy, good-looking, strong man whom she finds in Christian.
At first glance the relationship of Cyrano and Roxane could appear insincere as well. After all, he is the ideal romantic hero and she the perfect fair maiden, and the “love at first sight” that often occurs between such is rarely genuine. But in the scene at Roxane’s balcony, he casts off the physical with the words, “Up until now, I spoke uncertainly. I’ve been so intoxicated by your beauty… but tonight…I am able to find speech for the first time!” (76). From then one, the love between them is soul-deep. For how could Cyrano, a just man, judge others based solely on appearance when his own is so abhorrent to him? It is witnessing this love that finally matures Christian, as he develops into a much less shallow character by the fourth act. Upon hearing Roxane’s feelings (108), he realizes the connection between her and Cyrano and proclaims, “I’m tired of being my own rival… I want to be loved for myself or not at all!” (110). In his most courageous gesture, he relinquishes Roxane to Cyrano, the person he knows understands her better than he himself ever
In act four scene ten, Christian faces the inner conflict, man v. himself, when he discovers Roxane loves Christian’s letters more than she loves him because Roxanne believes it is Christian but it’s Cyrano and had been this whole time ,“I want to be loved for myself or not at all!” (190) Christian with
Sexual scripts are expectations of a female or male engaging in a heterosexual, bisexual, lesbian or gay male relationship with regards to sexual performance. The customary male scripts are perceived as initiators of sexual encounters expecting to be assertive, confident, and knowledgeable of sexual curricular activities. The male is required to become familiar with their partner’s body and coax their sexual intimacy. A male’s ultimatum of the sexual script is to achieve erotic gratification, build his self-esteem and reputation. Traditionally, female scripts are passive and are views with love as oppose to passion. Female’s wait patiently and complying with a men’s initiation of sexual activity. Laura Carpenter, a sociologist, explains women are more worried about the negative consequences from their first experience of intercourse. Certain women may feel comfortable to sexually engage with their partners, but hesitate to communicate their sexual needs.

...anate seed. Her white neck and a glimpse of her full, firm bosom disturbed him powerfully" (667). This passion leads to physical touching, congering up past passionate feelings towards one another, ultimately leading to their intercourse.

...ent times, the television mediums has been slowly transitioning to digital format. Digital television has the advantages of high definition resolution and an electronic television guide. Despite these evolutions of the medium of television I don't consider it new, I see the television mediums as new features a result of inevitable technological advances. The evolution of the internet can similarly observed in this way. Packet-switching technology gave way to the ability to efficiently transfer files over the internet, this ability gave way to the dawn of the world wide web and faster internet transfer speeds lead to bigger and bigger files being transferred over the internet. From this it can be seen that the internet is not a new medium, it contains features which make it seem new. There are certain implications that are observed when the internet is seen as new.

“Relationships are what make up our world today, they shape the ways we see things and the way that we do things, relationships affect how we see the world today”. I believe supporting what your partner does, having a great sum of trust and showing your affections towards your partner is what will make a healthy relationship great.
The first intimacy they encounter is a long kiss in the evaluator initiated by Christian. He always signs the contract with the lady before he can touch her. However, Ana was an exception to this rule
Throughout most of my life I have gained friendships and relationships with others that have turned into long term, but others which only lasted a short while. The friendship that has greatly impacted my life significantly over the last eight years is someone who means so much to me. This meaningful friendship all started back when I was in middle school, which has grown stronger over the years. I met Brooke in middle school because we had some of the same classes and were in homeroom together. Our friendship developed quickly and lasted throughout our high school years. We became really close our Junior and Senior year of high school. But, maintaining our friendship hasn’t always been so easy. Today, we text and call each other on our free time, but I know I can count and rely on her when I need someone to talk too. I call her my second sister and vice versa. And when we go home on breaks we see one another as much as we can. The best part of our relationship is that if one is in need of advice or in need of a shoulder to cry on, we are always there for one another. Keeping in contact is very important in our relationship and communication has played a key role in our relationship.
There are so many different types of family relationships. Whatever form a family takes; it is an important part of everyone’s life. My family has played an important role in my life. Good family relationships serve as a foundation to interactions with others. Supportive families will help children to thrive. The quality of the family relationship is more important than the size of the family. Making the relationships priority, communication, and providing support for one another is key to developing relationships. Family relationships are what make up our world today; they shape the ways that we see things and the ways that we do things.
