Net Privacy The internet has brought mixed blessings to the people who use it. It is a fantastic information source but the relative lack of privacy has brought forth a major problem. Anyone with even little hacking knowledge can track every move that you make while using internet services and/or view private or confidential information. It is now possible for some internet sites can actually find information such as e-mail addresses or the name of the person/people viewing the site without authorisation. This problem can affect everyone who uses any internet services and ultimately can lead to very confidential information(such as credit card numbers) getting into the hands of criminals.

The information posted on the internet is Permanent. This includes comments written on blogs, pictures, and internet sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.” The internet allows people to send information from any location to share data and files. Several people around the world use the internet to transfer important personal information such as credit card numbers and passwords. Online predators try to attain vulnerable information on the internet so it can be used to gain access to citizen’s bank accounts or other personal information. People need to understand the dangers of freely placing large amounts of personal information on the internet through web sites such as Facebook, which basically gives out most of a person’s information on one site alone.
Unlike other types of networks, Intranets allow different types of machines and operating systems already at hand to be operating on the same network platform. This reduces the cost when trying to implement this type of network because the machines and operating systems already at hand can still be used throughout the network without conflicting with one another. Quick access and easy programming is also another consideration that is made when considering this type of network. Intranets have just started to be implemented throughout the world and already a big change is being noticed. Companies are keeping track of all of their important information on web sites, which are restricted to users, unless they have the security code to access them.

The benefits of internet cannot be questioned, however, the extent and the sustainability of those benefits of internet can be questioned. In the present day, almost all the exporters have access to the internet. As a result, the use of internet doesn’t offer competitive advantage to any exporter. It has been suggested that the use of internet has diminish some of the advantages possessed by established firms. So it can be said that internet has offered us a level playing field.
There are many different types of internet personas. People in the past had no difference between their public and private life because they were only known by their neighbors, but today, with so many connections, people have differences between their public and private life. Some people have a whole different person that they are online versus who they are in person. Any information can be gathered online.
