After reading this book I learned that when we have business with other culture’s people we have to be very careful and also we have to do our “homework.” And to be open-minded person who can see one thing from many kinds of perspectives and be aware about the worst case situation. For example, translation mistakes and names of the names are very easy to avoid. You just have to be extra careful about the translation and have to prepare for people who can translate and can also check for the people. For example, if you are planning to do business with Japan. You should be ready to have Japanese person who are fluent in English and English speaker who is also fluent in Japanese. After reading this book I realized how important to learn international business. I think international businesses have to be taught in college for especially business major students but I think it is very important that all students in college should learn about cross cultural relations class. I think like this because the world became globalized. If you have internet you are able to connect with almost anyone in this world. By learning about different cultures and just learning that people in this world is all different will change people’s view to see the world. Also this book helped me understand more about what the textbook mentions about why anthropologists are needed in business world these days. Anthropologists are specialists about cultures and difference. If all these companies that were mentioned in this book had hired anthropologists in their companies, it might be different. This book was focused about businesses but cultural differences and blunders occur in everywhere these days. I still have blunders when I communicate with my friends.
