Introduction:
Attention Step: “I prefer artificial beauty to natural ugliness,” is a phrase that currently seems to be gaining popularity with many girls and women around the world. However, not many of them can understand the dangerous perils behind the artificial beauty.
Clarification Step:
1. Nowadays, since the number of procedures increases, cosmetic surgery has rapidly developed all over the world. According to an annual report of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) in 2015, the United States is the biggest market of cosmetic surgery in the world. Near 16 million cosmetic procedures were performed in the U.S. in 2015, with the five most common surgeries being breast augmentation, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck (“Plastic Surgery Procedures”).

In Asia, cosmetic surgery has become more popular, and countries such as China, India and Thailand have become some of the main cosmetic surgery markets in Asia, in particular for “affordable breast augmentation and sex reassignment surgery, with international patients coming from Australia, Europe and neighboring Asian countries” (Riggs).
Cosmetic surgery is becoming a trend world-wide today because humans can never be fully satisfied in terms of looks; however, this type of surgery has many serious perils rather than some benefits that we already know.
Preview: Today I am going to share with you about three major perils from cosmetic surgery. It only transforms the outside appearances, but does not help to heal the lack of confidence and illnesses inside patients. It also brings diseases and disorders, and finally negatively influences youth.
