I believe this charity is worth donating to because they are taking huge steps to making this world better. The charity believes that one day cancer will be cured. Every year they raise millions of dollars for research and to support those who have breast cancer. The charity originated in 1982 when Nancy G Brinker started it in honor of her sister Susan. Susan Passed away from breast cancer in 1980 and the charity was a part of Nancy’s promise to Susan that she would put a stop to breast cancer. Life is about creating yourself.” Can someone truly “create themselves” when his or her life’s quality and longevity are in jeopardy? It is very sad to think about children who have been diagnosed with cancer and that if they lose their battle, may never get to live a full, healthy life like their peers. According to the Childhood Cancer Foundation, a staggering 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide each year; for 25% of them, the disease will be fatal. An estimated 13,500 children and adolescents younger than 20 years of age are diagnosed annually with some form of cancer in the United States alone. Those who do make it through their adolescent years have a greater risk of developing chronic health problems or secondary cancers in their later years. It goes without saying that the disease creates much hardship, pain and suffering. That being so, support for families and patients going through this hardship is very critical. There are many organizations that strive to be that backbone for these families. The Make a Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House for example believe that, if a child is exposed to positive experiences and atmospheres, it will have an overall positive effect on his or her health and wellbeing. Cancer is a dangerous disease killing millions every year without any for sure or easy way to treat it. For years people have tried to raise awareness towards cancer but now that it threatens the lives of so many do people listen and try to help. However even with the help of dozens of different groups and agencies cancer rates continue to grow at an alarming rate. Although we have found ways to treat it we only have theories on how to prevent and stop it. What make cancer so deadly are its Symptoms, commonness, dangerous treatments, the many different areas it can affect, and the cost encored.

Bone cancer is a type of cancer that grows in your bones. Usually your bones start to weaken instead of becoming strong like parkinson's disease but as a disease. Bone cancer is a cancerous tumor of the bone that destroys normal bone tissue. Not all bone tumors are malignant, benign not cancerous bone tumors is more common than malignants. Both malignant and benign bone tumors can grow and compress healthy bone tissue. Benign tumors does not spread, or destroys bone tissue, and they aren't a threat to life.
People still remain uneducated in what cancer is and how it affects the people around them, but it is such a random and socio-economic epidemic on who is diagnosed with cancer that I feel a main issue in the world is cancer due to the numerous amounts of people I know affected by it. My dad was given a second chance at life thanks to the love of people who cared for him and his family and friends who gave him hope when fighting for his life. Cancer is not something that should be taken into consideration lightly by the world, when a loved one is diagnosed with cancer it changes both individuals’ lives. My family was affected directly by cancer and now that my dad is healthy again, he will never completely be the same person that he was before he got cancer. I urge my friends to go to their annual Family Physician visits because I want for no one to go through the sort of turmoil that my father went through.
