Have you ever tasted pizza that melts in your mouth? Every slice covered in ample toppings. When you take a bite, the sauce is a perfect blend of savory and sweet. "Hello!" The girl behind the counter smiles and exclaims, "Welcome to Sal's!" Her words drag you back to reality and away from all of the amazing smells that leave you drooling. Your attention is diverted to your growling stomach as you approach the counter to place your order. You decide to get two slices of Sicilian-style pepperoni and pineapple pizza. To wash it down, you choose an ice cold glass of Sprite. You take a seat and drift away into the delicious smell until your food arrives. Welcome to Sal's.

Their menu had everything you can think of, when you picture Italian food. They have cannoli, pizza, hot sandwiches, pastas, cheesecake, zucchini, fried raviolis etc. I thought that the prices would be outrageous given its’ location and wide variety of food. For a medium 2 topping thin crust pizza that feeds 3 people, you will pay $16. Appetizers will run somewhere between $3-$10. They also have family trays that feed 8-10 people and cost, on average, $40.

Service with a Smile
On my first visit, we ordered 2 large thin crust 2 topping pizzas, fried zucchini and fired ravioli. Our bill came to $60 and we received 2 free sodas. We were greeted by a smiling cashier who told us our wait would be 20 minutes. However, our wait time turned into 45 minutes. We mentioned it to our cashier who had the owner call us. I am sure that you are salivating, just dying to know what I thought of the taste. Their thin crust slices are so large (I had these on my first visit), I could only eat two and that was a battle. All the ingredients were so fresh, we found out that everything is handmade daily, and the crust did not taste like cardboard, like some big name pizza places. I get tired of national pizza chains quite often and I tend to look for smaller, family owned places to try. The toppings and sauce were a perfect match - just enough sauce married to ample amounts of pepperoni and cheese. I enjoy dipping my slices into ranch dressing. The ranch is homemade and amazing!
