Skiing. It's a popular sport that many people know today as either cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, backcountry skiing, ski jumping, etc. There are many different categories skiing can fall under, but i’ll just be talking about recreational skiing which, is the kind you do for fun. Recreational skiing is a sport that just about anyone can do after a few lessons. In modern times there are four main levels of skiing each with their own unique obstacles and skiers. Green circle, beginner trails, blue square, more average trails, black diamond, hard trails, and double black diamond, an exceedingly hard course. “The first ever skis were made to transport goods over 4,500 years ago in Russia mid-winter, these first skis weren't meant for speed, but to keep the rider up and out of the snow”.
