There are a lot of great players in the NBA. Like some people say it's lebron or durant or kobe in this article I will be telling you which 5 I think are the best. I am picking the best by stats and my opinion.
Number 5 Kobe bryant

He is considered by some to be the greatest shooter in NBA history.Curry won the 2015 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and is a three-time NBA All-Star.
Curry is the son of former NBA player Dell and older brother of current NBA player Seth. He playedcollege basketball for Davidson. There, he was twice named Southern Conference Player of the Year and set the all-time scoring record for both Davidson and the Southern Conference. During his sophomore year, he also set the single-seasonNCAA record for three-pointers made.

He has started at the small forward and power forward positions. James has won two NBA championships (2012, 2013), four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013), two NBA Finals MVP Awards (2012, 2013), two Olympic gold medals (2008, 2012), an NBA scoring title (2008), and the NBA Rookie of the Year Award (2004). It’s one of the greatest debates right now in modern time sports. Who is the greatest basketball player ever? Is it His Airness, or is it King James? The debate on whether Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the greatest basketball player ever is a prevalent topic in sports news daily. Many people believe that LeBron James is the greatest basketball player to be currently playing and also the greatest player to ever have played in the NBA. My theory, however, is that rather than LeBron James, the greatest basketball player to ever have played the game is Michael Jordan. Although I agree with the claim that LeBron James is the best current player in the NBA, I believe that he is nowhere near being considered better than Michael Jordan.
For example, they both have won more than one championship games, and they also both help their NBA teams to 3 consecutive basketball titles. They made both won scoring titles in the NBA, and they both made at least earned a NBA Finals MVP award. And most importantly they both are Hall of Famers.
...MVP twice, NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA scoring champion, All-NBA First Team six times, All-NBA Second Team twice, NBA All-Defensive First Team 4 times, NBA All-Rookie First Team, 2012 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year, 2012 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year, Cleveland Cavaliers all-time leading scorer, Naismith Prep Player of the Year 2013, and USA Mr. Basketball for two consecutive years.
It goes without saying that Wade is the best player in franchise history in terms of longevity. He’s the team’s all-time leader in points scored, assists, steals, minutes played, and games played. In his 13 seasons with the Heat, Wade appeared in 12 All-Star games and was named to an All-NBA Team eight times (2x First Team, 3x Second Team, 3x Third Team). During that 13 year span, the Heat made the playoffs in all but two of those 13 seasons, reaching the NBA finals five times, winning three of them.
Ten time All-NBA first team, thirteen time all star, and five time defensive first team is only the minimum that defines LeBron James. LeBron James was born in Akron, Ohio and had a rough childhood and was financially unstable most of the time. In 2003, LeBron James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He eventually went on and achieved many accolades that only the greats can achieve. LeBron James is classified as a hero because he is determined, responsible, and admirable.
After passing his final exams in 1994, Iverson accepted an athletic scholarship to Georgetown University. As a member of the Georgetown Hoyas, Iverson immediately became the team’s star. During his freshman year he averaged twenty points, 4.7 assists, and 3.5 steals per game and was named the 1995 Big East Rookie of the Year and Big East Defensive Player of the Year. His performance was equally impressive during his sophomore year, and he was once again named Big East Defensive Player of the Year as well as named to the Associated Press’s 1996 First Team
Whether some people like it or not, LeBron is one of the greatest to do it. He still continues today scoring major points, leading his team, and dominating the game of basketball.
Michael Jordan is widely considered to be one if not the best basketball player of all time, as he has been ranked number one on numerous top ten lists since retiring from the NBA. And why not? With six championships, ten scoring titles, five MVP trophies, a highly praised (and rewarded) defensive ability, and an absurdly marketed brand that has continued to ascend to international fame, his influence over the game is everywhere around the world, as it would be hard for one to escape the name Michael Jordan, regardless of whether they're a basketball fan or not.
In 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe had an insane number of accolades and achievements in that time frame. From the beginning of his career he instantly showed glimpses of the greatness to come by being named to the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team in 1997, and also winning the Slam Dunk Contest that same year, even though he was not named to the All-Star Team that year. But as Bryant’s mentality has shown, being cut short of the All-Star didn’t stop him at all. The Black Mamba would go onto be named to the All-Star Team a total of 18 times in his tenure with the Lakers
First, we will celebrate LeBron James’s accomplishments in the NBA. There are over 400 players in the NBA. These players are on the battlefield, fighting day after day because they all know only one can become the Most Valuable Player. LeBron James rose above all, claiming the MVP award, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 times. Not only is LeBron James an MVP, but he is also a 13-time All-Star player. LeBron James garnered enough votes from the fans, the players, and the media to become an All-Star like a presidential candidate getting enough votes from the voters to become the President.
Kobe spent years trying to mimic everything about Michael Jordan including his footwork, shooting form etc. and it definitely payed off . Kobe has the 3rd most points scored of all time and he is the all time Lakers points leader. However, Kobe’s success is his but his influence is not, it belongs to Michael Jordan as it was Kobe who mimicked Jordan. The points scored by Kobe have an often unseen angle, Kobe also has the missed the most shots ever (Nba.com)). LeBron, on the other hand, is currently the youngest player to reach 20,000 points even though Kobe has played 6 more seasons than LeBron has out-rebounded, out-assisted, out-stole and out-blocked Kobe Bryant (nba.com). While doing so LeBron changed what constitutes all 5 positions, for example before LeBron, the point guard was the smallest player on the court who can dribble, but after LeBron’s arrival where he has dominated every position with his 6’8 280 pound frame and his incredible basketball IQ, the point guard has become the composer of the symphony that is an offensive possession in a game of basketball"LeBron James." Stats, Video, Bio,
Due to the mark Michael Jordan has left on the world as the “G.O.A.T.”, it will be very difficult for any player to surpass his legacy. Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James all have similarities of Michael Jordan but, out of all three players James is the closest. LeBron has the most similarities and the potential to surpass Michael Jordan’s legacy with his personality, stats and he popularity on and off the court. Even though James has the potential to surpass his legacy, there is still a very long journey ahead of James if he ever wants to be considered the “G.O.A.T.”.
Kobe Bean Bryant is a recently retired professional basketball player, shooting guard/small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. He has worn two numbers in his career, number 8 and number 24. Throughout the 20 years I have spent with the team, he has built up an impressive list of accomplishments. He has won five NBA championships, appearing in the finals seven times. He received Finals MVP honors in 2009 and 2010, and along with that, league MVP in 2008. Furthermore, Kobe ranks third on the NBA's all-time
Michael Jordan is considered, by many, to be the greatest basketball player of all-time. However many do not know who he is as a person, or what he has contributed to basketball. Michael Jordan may be the greatest basketball player of all-time, but he is much more than a basketball player. He has contributed to many different charities, he was a baseball player, and he is a golfer. He is a champion off the court just as much as he was on the court to many people who receive donations from him. Jordan was a champion on the basketball court, but he is still a champion in the hearts of many off the court.
