This year I will be completing my third and last Type III. My topic this year will be on the history of horse racing. I chose this topic since I have always been fascinated with horses and want to learn more on the subject. My goal for this project is to research and understand how horse racing has developed. I became interested in horses around the time I went to a horse riding camp with a friend. However, after recently going to a horse race in Kentucky with my family and my dad’s friend, I have became further captivated in the horse racing aspect. The original origins of horse racing are debated. As stated in “The History of Horse Racing Horse racing’s birthplace has been debated and hasn’t yet had little agreement among historians. Most sources believe it stemmed from the B.C.E. era from the Romans.
