Cancer has become a major noncommunicable disease around the world, and a very interesting topic. Many people die from it, one of those people being my grandfather. My dad’s dad died a couple years before I was born so I didn’t get to meet him. But I knew he was loved deeply by my big family, and the death was very sad. I decided to do this topic because it interests me, and I would like to learn more about it.

If the tumor is cancerous, it spreads and creates more tumors in the body. It can occur anywhere in the body, and this creates many different types of cancer.
If a person has cancer, there are different ways to remove it. These treatment options depend on what stage of cancer the person is in. A couple treatment options are surgical removal, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hormone therapy. These treatments can cause a person to get very sick too. Though these treatments are difficult, they can save people’s lives. When a person’s cancer is removed or controlled, they have entered remission, which means the symptoms have disappeared. If a person is in remission, they continued to get checked to make sure the cancer will not come back.
There are many ways that people can avoid this disease. By following certain health behaviors, you can help reduce your risk of developing cancer. By avoiding UV radiation, tobacco use and second hand smoke, taking precautions to avoid getting STDs, eating healthy, avoiding alcohol, getting regular physical activity, and maintain your weight are all very important ways to reduce the chance of getting cancer. Cancer is a deadly disease that millions of people die from a year. Many loved ones are killed with little to no warning affecting families across our world. My family happened to be one that was affected by this atrocious disease. This event changed the way my family members and I viewed cancer.
I have chosen to write about the constellation Cancer (The Crab). I chose Cancer because it is one of only a handful of constellations that I am actually able to identify in the night sky. Cancer is one of the twelve Zodiac constellations; people whose birthdays fall between June 21st and July 22nd have Cancer as their sign. Cancer is the Latin word for crab, and despite the fact that the constellation looks more like a lobster then a crab, it is still referred to as a crab. The constellation is visible from the northern hemisphere from late winter to early spring.
Cancer is the term used to describe a group of diseases consisting of hundreds of ailments and although there exists so many different types of cancer, they all begin in a similar way. The body is made up of over a trillion cells, and cancer is the uncontrolled growth of malfunctioning cells in the body (Dawson, 1996). “Normal body cells grow, divide, and die in an orderly fashion. During the early years of a person’s life, normal cells divide faster to allow the person to grow. After the person becomes an adult, most cells divide only to replace worn-out or dying cells or to repair injuries” (American Cancer Society, 2012).
I have elected to transcribe my proposal argument on issues regarding cancer chemoprevention. I selected this topic because reasonably minute devotion has been given to cancer chemoprevention research in ethical writings, particularly in relation to the huge quantity of moral studies in cancer treatment exploration. One may be able to avoid some risk factors, but others cannot be avoided, such as inheriting certain genes that may cause cancer can not be avoided, but changing ones eating habits, not smoking and not chewing any types of tobacco is likely to decrease one's chances of getting oral cancer. There is no way of fully preventing oral cancer, there are only ways that can decrease the chances of developing oral cancer. In conclusion, cancer is a disease that has impacted millions of people throughout history and the world. With the assistance of medical professionals; early, professional, and accurate diagnosis, treatment, and mental/ emotional support of family members, friends, and doctors, the emotional impact of cancer can become much more bearable.
Diagnosed with lung cancer, now what!? Time to do some research. Lung cancer is the number one cause of deaths in males and females. The causes, diagnosis, and treatment of lung cancer have advanced recently with new technology available to scientists and the medical profession. Lung cancer develops when the cells grow abnormally and tumors form instead of healthy lung tissue. It can take place in one or both lungs, normally the cells that line the air passages. Not all tumors are cancerous, the ones that do not spread are benign tumors. The more tumors that develop in the lungs will cause the lungs to work less efficiently. The metastatic tumors spread to other parts of the body passing through the blood stream or lymphatic system.

The leading cause of death in America is lung cancer. Lung cancer is ranked top 10 fatal cancers in the United States. There are many types of ways to get lung cancer. There is radon gas it occurs outdoors naturally. Then there is second hand smoke that comes from other people smoking. People are even getting lung cancer from cancer causing agents, this happens from carcinogens. You can also get it from air pollution indoors and outdoors. Also there are gene-mutations that form cancer causing cells. Then there is the one everyone blamed lung cancer is smoking.
We now can find what specific cancer a patient has and where, and give them a variety of treatment options such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and several other types of treatment including experimental drugs. But there is no 100% guarantee that these treatments work. Background history of Kidney Cancer includes symptoms, treatments, cures, tests, ways to help diagnose the disease, and the effect of someone’s everyday life. People over 60 years of age are more likely to get Kidney Cancer than people below 50 years old.
