Adam Richard Sandler is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, film producer, and musician who was born on September 9, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York; and currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

His family is Jewish and descends from Russian immigrants on both sides.
His father, Stanley was an electrical engineer, and his mother, Judith, was a nursery school teacher.
