Google Earth was acquired by Google in 2004 it was created by Keyhole, Inc it is a virtual globe, where you can view a 3D image of the Earth. The way that Google Earth works is it obtains satellite images and aerial photographs. Google Earth can be used on a personal computer that is running Windows 2000 or above or with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and above or with the IPhone OS with a downloadable APP from the App store. Google Earths has gone through many upgrades since it debuted. Google Earth works off of mostly satellite images of the Earth surface; it enables people to see mountains, lakes, houses, and cars. Resolution may not be great at all images that you are trying to view resolution is pre-determined but the popularity of an item. Google Earth is a 3D imaging program but most items can only be viewed in 2D. 3D imaging can be viewed the Grand Canyon, and Nigeria Falls and other hot spots around the world. Some of this data is collected through satellites and some is from NASA programs. Some 3D imaging has been filled in through computer programs. 3D imaging gives us a better view of a building and Google Earth has been working to update cities around the world so that at home you can go to the Eiffel Tower and be able to take it all in with the feeling that you saw it for yourself in person. Google Earth is dedicated into improving its program to become more user friendly and to improve the images that they provide free of charge to the general public. ... did not require a higher graphic card then most general computer users have in their operating system. NASA World Wind does allow users to view the other planets. Both of these our interactive atlases that you can move around and check out images that have been downloaded all over the world. They both have 3D images and can show you the same information. But NASA World Wind is not easy to navigate and find images of homes and places. Google Earth is definitely more user friendly even though both programs do the same thing Google Earth comes up on top.

Although the tornado of 10 June 1938 has been known about, at least anecdotally, within the scientific community since it was brought to light in 1939 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, this potentially rich source of historic information has lain fallow. It is within this rich field of mobile, American thinking that we undertake this effort. A team of scientists with courage, brains, and even heart brought the resources to bear on the challenge.
