Information Management
Johannessen and Olsen (2010) noted “with this economic landscape, knowledge itself became a factor of production—specifically, knowledge related to identifying and exploiting new ways to establish temporary competitive advantage” (p. 502). Their observation reflects that under today’s business environment, the ability to optimize information is a significant factor that enables such companies to succeed their businesses. However, the use of information is more important than just limited in business practices, also for everyone living and other professional arenas (Badke, 2009; Turusheva, 2009). Educational institutions in which are responsible for teaching students to ingrain knowledge that uses for achieving their living and professional may need to focus on improving teaching students efficiently of using information competence that will enable students how to use information effectively and accurately.
The Change of Using Information
Today’s operating business, companies have changed the way of using information to sustain their performances entirely different from they used to do. Recently, companies used information that generated from research and development (R&D) either was a department inside the company or hiring any R&D company from outside. Information that a company received from R&D department typically based on the company’s need (Johannessen & Olsen, 2010). The new business strategy as customer centric in which companies operate their businesses by generating information through customers, prospective customers, and consumers to find their needs, and satisfy them (Johannessen & Olsen, 2010).
Companies also need improving their abilities broadly to find accurate and relevant informat...

Plutarch deduces, “The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.” A vessel is often cluttered with useless items while a fire kindles and is truly fascinating as it slowly starts to grow. The mind is always being filled with unnecessary information every single day. The student has the opportunity to mold the mind into storing information that is considered useful. In the academic sense, students should be able to use this information and apply it when they are learning. Students should strive to learn for the purpose of expanding the mind. Every single thing taught in school should be applied in life. That is the only way that anyone can become successful.

In the application of both perspectives knowledge is perceived in two types which include tacit or implicit knowledge and explicit or objective knowledge (Hislop, 2013). In regards to tacit knowledge Hisplop (2013) described it as, "...knowledge which is difficult to articulate in an explicit form, is regarded as more informal, more personal and individualized, less rigorous and highly subjective, being embedded within the cultural values and assumptions of those who posses and use it" (p. 18). On the other hand, explicit knowledge is described by Hislop (2013) as being, "...expressed in formal and systematic language and shared in the form of data, scientific formulae..." (p. 18-19). Both types of knowledge according to Hislop (2013) are utilized differently by both the objectivist and practice-based perspective. The objectivist prefers the use of explicit knowledge and claims that both types of knowledge are separated from one another and believes that tacit knowledge can be converted to satisfy its process of codifying information to make it more transferrable (Hislop, 2013). The practice-based perspective, in contrast, believes that both types of knowledge are inseparable and work together to develop in part explicit knowledge bust most of all a system of management that focuses on activities involving both the mind and body (Hislop, 2013). These differences will undoubtedly generate both problems in challenges in the application of information management in an organization. The lead teacher position, due to the districts educational philosophy of generating and following a rigid curriculum, will consequently experience challenges leading teachers of practice-based perspective in an environment that follows an objectivist perspective in

Education plays a key role in the development of one’s character and future achievements. The importance of education has elevated in numerous ways over time. The higher an education a person receives is expected to give an individual a better occupation and therefore result in more earned money by that individual. Human desires have led to the great want to achieve the best education in order to ensure that more then just the basic needs and wants are met by that individual, whether it is for themselves or for those that are dependent upon them. Hence the best education one can receive will contribute to the fulfillment of their desires and wants. In recent years the internet has played quite a major part in education. The internet has become almost more significant in the classroom then a piece of paper and a pencil, to a class. It has become more then just a resourceful tool for finding information it has become a means of a must have item. Such dependence is very detrimental to the educational process for although the internet seems to be everywhere, there are still many people, willing to learn, who lack such a resource.
Dewey suggested that knowledge is acquired and more effective when people apply previous knowledge gained from experiences into solving meaningful situations. Education in his eyes is almost a reconstruction of experience applied by using the scientific method. Intelligence is required in order to overcome situations where there are obstacles present. These challenges can be completed

In order to understand and gain knowledge, learning theories stress the importance of creating a relationship between all pieces of information, the learner, and the environment. It is the responsibility of both the teacher and the learner to link the appropriate information together. If students can develop a relationship for the "underlying reasons for ‘how’ and ‘why’ to use specific procedures, they will be able to store this information as part of their knowledge network," and develop links with other pieces of information (Gersten and Baker, 1998, p.24). On the contrary, if learners learn facts of information that are isolated from a meaningful context, their understanding is often incomplete and meaningless. As a result of these linked relationships between individuals and environments, knowledge is the prevailing outcome. In summary, "knowledge is situated, being in part a product of the activity, context, and culture in which it is developed and used (Brown, Collins, and Duguid, 1989, p.32).
This age is dedicated to more of learning age. It is said that even the teachers are the learner. This is the age of knowledge gradually shifted towards the age of communication. Thought and ideas are playing a crucial role in the present 21st century. The period when the denial and ignorance was the answer to the learner’s inquisitiveness has no solution. The answer to these questions is the technology which has solved problem to very much extend. People call such kind of change where teachers are supported with the technological tools to prove their worth. It does not say that previous centuries teachers were not efficient or they do not have that kind of knowledge. In the present time, the knowledge has got the support of the technology to explore. The learners are satisfying their requirements to the larger extend. The technological tool such as internet has shown great difference. The use of videos and photographs, 3D picture support, animations and documentaries and use of computers especially has changed the whole scenario. The most advanced version we have seen are the mobiles and the various applications which are loaded in mobile has taken the world in strong fist. The laptops are converting into the interactive machines which are loaded with n number of facilitation.
Today’s reality is that young people will require a new set of knowledge, skills, and dispositions to succeed in our rapidly changing, knowledge-based, global economy. This requires that learners have opportunities to explore, test, venture, and create so they can develop the assets they will need to benefit from and contribute to an increasingly information-filled world. Same goes to this article that has its weaknesses. Besides these criticisms, this paper has some value and we need to judge it in terms of the authors' purpose in writing it. It is not intended to be a precise piece of academic work, but is intended mainly to enhance leadership in information field. As a conclusion, information leadership is about exploiting information resources and infrastructures, but in order to be valuable it should also demonstrate a completely understanding the consequences. The article is basically in line with the descriptions of the concepts discussed in earlier literature that covers definitions of information and knowledge leadership and bring both conceptual and practical clarity to the different aspects of the responsibilities of information and knowledge professionals. This article gives much knowledge that benefit to readers so they can think towards new era of information leadership. Hence, this article is good to be a reference for its intended users regarding information and knowledge
