Infertility is a very common thing. Infertility can affect your emotions. Both men and women can be infertile. You may have some questions such as, how is infertility caused or how is it treated?

In women, infertility is one of the most common causes of women not being able to conceive. 30% of infertility problems are a cause of ovulation disorders. Luckily, 70% of these problems can be treated with drugs like; Clomiphene and Menogan/ Repronex. The causes of infertility can be categorized as the following: hormonal problems, scarred ovaries, premature menopause, and follicle problems.
Some hormonal problems you can have are failing to produce mature eggs, malfunctioning hypothalamus, and malfunctioning pituitary gland. When your body fails to produce mature eggs, it is almost impossible for your egg to be fertilized. The most common disorder for this problem is known as Polycystic ovary syndrome. This syndrome is caused by a reduced production of FSH and a normal or an increased level of LH, estrogen and testosterone. Also an increase in estrogen levels can raise the risks of a woman developing breast cancer.
The hypothalamus is the part of the brain that sends signals to the pituitary gland. Once these signals are sent, it sends hormonal stimuli to your ovaries in the form of FSH and LH. This causes eggs to mature. If your hypothalamus fails to trigger and control the process, the result of this will be immature eggs. This is the cause of 20% of your ovaries failing.
Your pituitary gland is responsible for producing and secreting FSH and LH. If there is too much or too little FSH and LH, then the ovaries will not be able to function properly. This can happen as a result of physical injury, a tumor, or if you have a chemical imb...

When a male has pretesticular problems, these can be addressed with medical means or interventions. When infertility is testicular based, medicine doesn't work. Normally the approaches doctors do include taking the sperm for intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization(IVF), or with intracytoplasmatic sperm injections(ICSI). If a male has obstructive causes of post-testicular infertility, these can be treated with surgery or IFV-ICSI. If a man has an ejaculatory problem, this can be fixed with medicine, or IUI or IVF.

Infertility can be a very serious matter to people who really want to have a baby. Infertility is very common. Infertility is just overall a very bad thing to have for some people and for others, they might not mind having this problem.
