Industrialization and Global Integration

The modern age is full of many wonders that we, as humans, take advantage of everyday. This new world is the result of many processes and events including nationalism, revolutions, reformations, imperialism and nation-state building. However, in my opinion, industrialization and global integration had the most profound effect on the modern era. Industrialization and global integration gave way to many social, economical, and political changes affecting the modern world. People began migrating from farms to the cities, many new inventions and technologies came along, and imperialism occurred.

...rld is very similar to the Industrial Revolution. Our main goal today is to have the highest economic status in hope of being the superpower. We import and export many goods from all over the world. Many scientific advances and inventions have improved our daily lives and enlarged our scope of knowledge. For example, with the spacecraft such as rockets, we were able to land on the moon and explore space from a different perspective. Unfortunately, many underdeveloped countries still do not have the technology we use everyday, such as the washing machine. Something as simple as the washing machine could get the job of washing clothes faster, giving people the time to relax. I believe that we will still continue to industrialize in the future and achieve many accomplishments. However, the environmental effect it may have is another issue that needs to be considered.
